Klam Castle - Burg, Austria

by Manfred on June 14, 2000

I have just returned from Sting's second Austrian concert at the Burg Clam and there I had the impression that Sting was dissatisified with one of his keyboarders. Not Kipper, the small one, don't know his name.

Two or three times he said something to him which seemed not to be praise, once he turned away and shook his head in a meaningful way.

The keyboarder looked the hole time like a shy mouse that is afraid to be eaten by the cat. When Sting spoke to him he smiled in an embarrassed, pacifying way with big scared eyes.

At the end of the concert there seemed to have been some sort of reconciliation, because Sting pointed at the keyboarder and he made a gesture to the public like: "I'm a good boy again".

I have been almost in the first row and had a good view. Of course I can't prove that there has been a problem but I'm pretty sure. And Sting's Good-Bye to the public somehow wasn't that friendly as in Vienna, although it was a great concert and the audience enjoyed it very much.

Once he pointed to the castle (Burg=castle) and said: "This looks like my house but it is smaller". Braggart!!
