The show in Memphis, 25 June was fantastic.
HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
a fan throwing her car keys on stage before "I'm So Happy..." (paraphrased)
S: "This song is about divorce" (she throws the keys on stage) "What does this mean?" "A very pretty lady has just given me her keys." "Are you experiencing a divorce?" "Where's your husband?" "Oh, THAT'S your husband over there?!"(He tries to return the keys and she hands him her wedding ring) "She's just given me her engagement ring! I'll tell you what...You take the ring and I'll give the keys to your husband..."
...and the MEMPHIS HORNS playing in their home town at the end of the extended "Lithium Sunset"
Sting danced around a lot, including doing the shuffle with the trombonist and saxaphone player! There was a lot of jogging in place...
TOUR MERCHANDISE includes various T-shirts for $25, tourbooks for $15 and posters for $8.
I know that he played all of the following songs, though not NECESSARILY in this order. I was too busy "boogieing" to write them down. Sorry. Feel free to correct me...
for those interested, NATALIE MERCHANT'S performance was wonderful as well. She played: San Andreas Fault, Wonder, Don't Talk, These Are the Days, I May Know the Word, Carnival, and Jealousy. She danced around like crazy! I wish she and Sting would do a duet on this tour. If he could sing EBYT with Melissa Etheridge, he can certainly sing it with Natalie!
