Madison Square Garden - New York, New York, United States

by Shaggy on February 25, 1994

I also saw Sting at Madison Square Garden in NYC around the summer of 88'and was just completly blown away. It was my first real concert and it was so cool. At the very end Bruce Springsteen came on for an encore, how cool was that? DYNOMITE it was. The thing that was the best was One World. I remember Sting havin' so much fun singing to this really neat beat. After he was singin' for a while he started to dance. Then him Branford and one other person started running all over the place and chasing each other, having all this fun. I have dreams of being Sting at that very moment. Last but not least was Little Wing. (like butter.) That was one of my favorites on NLTS and I always dug it. When it started to be played I freaked out. But that final guitar solo hit me so hard. It eptitomised the vibe of NYC at night to me - dark, never ending, full of jazz and grace, unpredictible yet constant. I remember the guitarist hitting and holding this one high note for so long, everything around and inside MSG shook, while the audience just waited and waited with a common unity and loss of breathness. It was truly "aw" inspiring. Thank you very much for the person who created this digible idea of a Police/Sting net. It's so great to hear all of you wonderful people shooting the breeze, it's so interesting and heart fufilling. Thank!
