I just put up 60 thumbnailed photos of last nights concert on line! (Click on them for full size images)

Yesterday was incredible! My self and my friend Seth arrived at the Mix 98.5 Radio Studios at about 5PM. We went inside and met some of the other contest winners, and hung out for an hour or so before they let us into the "Mix Lounge". No camera's were allowed, and they said they throw anyone out who took a picture, so I kept camera in my pocket. It's too bad, because I could've got some incredible photos! I overhead a station employee tell Joyce Kulhawik (The entertainment report for WBZ Channel 4 in Boston, recently did a few shows of Roger Ebert at the Movies with Roger Ebert)that the reason for the "No Cameras or Video" policy was that Sting wasn't touring with a stylist!

Dominic came in first and tuned his guitar and Sting's. He was really friendly and talked to us, and answered questions, even rude ones from ignorant people. ("What's your name?", "How old are you" - Dominic Miller and 39) He got out his guitar and started to take requests, he played snippets from Fragile, Shape of My Heart, and several others which I don't remember. When asked to play Fragile he told the person that Sting plays that not him, but played it anyway!

I asked him if they were going to come back to the U.S. after the european dates, and he said that they would be back in the U.S. in the summer.

Sting came in, and everyone cheered wildly. Dominic then introduced Sting as, "his singer", which got laughs from the audience. Sting through his jacket over Dominic's head at that point!

They then played Brand New Day acoustically, and then the DJ interviewed them for a couple minutes. The usual questions about Tantric Sex ("The 7 hours includes Dinner and a movie. Godfather 1, 2 and 3"), and a Police reunion ("No, It would be Like going back to live with your mother")

I think Sting was expecting to get out of there after playing 1 song, but he was asked to play another. He choose to play Message in a Bottle. Domnic played a harmony part on that, Sting said it was the first time they had done that. It sounded really good. Except for the audience sing a long portion of the song which came out pretty weak! One guy in the front sang so far out of key that Sting almost laughed in the middle of the song, and then commented on it after the song.

After some applause Sting thanked everyone, then thanked Dominic. Dominic really endeared himself to the crowd at the beginning of the show and the crowd cheered quite loudly for him (louder than they had just cheered for Sting!) , after a second or two of that Sting jokingly said "That's enough!"

Sting was ushered out, without signing anything or shaking hands, unless you were lucky enough to be a radio station employee then you got autographs, and your picture taken with him. GRRR!

After that Seth and I caught a ride with Cybil (One of the contest winners) and her husband to the Orpheum. (For which I'm really grateful!) We missed the first bit of the opening act, but I had seen that the night before at Providence, so I wasn't worried. Sting put on a great show! The set list was pretty standard, but from the 4th row it was a whole new experience! The strange thing is that the setlist looked like it might have been laminated! Guess that means it's not going to be changing much!

Unfortunately I didn't get to meet any of the list members, I looked around after the show a bit, but didn't see anyone. But I hope everyone who was there had a great time!
