The Chicago concert last night was amazing! His voice has never sounded better!
For anyone interested, the crowd was somewhat mello during his new stuff but stood up for BND and all Police songs. It was an older crowd (I was probably one of the youngest people there and I'm almost 30). My favorite song of the night was Message in a Bottle played acoustic during encore #2. He wore the cargo pants/leather jacket/black tank top combo and looked incredible.
I was sorry that I read about his jokes ahead of time -- they seemed to be identical to what he said in previous concerts, right down to the garfield/Thanksgiving parade/tantric shopping.
At the end of the second encore, they all took several bows and Sting was the last one off the stage.
No doubt he is one of the best performers out there - I have never been disappointed at one of his concerts and this was by far the best. The tickets were well worth getting. I wish I was seeing him tonight for the second show!
