Aunt Betty's tab's

(-thanks to blenderhead 59-)

This is just cut and pasted from an email...That means that the chords always appear at the beginning of the line instead of over the words they really go with....I'll try to fix that when I get time. Until then...you know where they go.

"Little Fighter"--------------------------------------

Em
Fourteen when she took her first one
G
She got addicted to the taste of some
D
Eight years later and a truckful more
A
on the other side when she got bored
Em (hit 5th fret harmonics)
Some man said, "Hey, it's a big surprise."
G
There's a great big mouth, a great big lie
D
There's a handful of this, a throatful of that, and
A
she gets it done, it's a bloody mess

D
oh no
oh no
G
oh no
Em
he said, "Little Fighter's never ever gonna stop
G
till she breaks your skull
standin' on top of it."
D
oh no
oh no
G
oh no
Em
he said, "Little Fighter's never ever gonna leave you
alone
G
till she runs your world

she burns your home." (now right back into verse…)
Em
And I said, "I want nothin' to do
G
with some jacked-up beauty
with construction tools,
D
Weird ideas I've yet to dream
A
of animals and food, and shockin' things.
Em
I came here just to be alone;
G
to drink my problems till they get stoned
D
I've got my money for your little fling
A
And then he said, "She's free for the evening."
D
oh no
oh no
G
oh no
Em
he said, "Little Fighter's never ever gonna stop
G
till she breaks your skull
standin' on top of it."
D
oh no
oh no
G
oh no
Em
he said, "Little Fighter's never ever gonna leave you
alone
G
till she runs your world
she burns your home."
(solo part, it’s a really simple solo but tricky to
tab out on acoustic, I’m too lazy at the moment)
(here’s a hint: It’s played on only the G B and e
string in 2nd and 4th fret for the G and 3 and 5 for
the B and e, I think that’s it, just improvise, pretty
much anything sounds good)
Play: Em, G, D, A, twice while solo plays, then….
D
oh no
oh no
G
oh no
oh no
Em
oh no
oh no
G (right around here the lead plays a little thing on
5th fret harmonics, starting with strumming A D G
(strings, not chords) and then plucking B and then e,
all in harmonics, very tricky to make it sound nice
and clear)
oh no
oh no
D
oh no
oh no
G
oh no Em
he said, "Little Fighter's never ever gonna stop
G
till she breaks your skull
standin' on top of it."
D
oh no
oh no
G
oh no Em
he said, "Little Fighter's never ever gonna leave you
alone
G
till she runs your world
she burns your home."
D
oh no
oh no
G
oh no Em
he said, "Little Fighter's never ever gonna stop
G
till she cracks your skull
standin' on top…”
Now just continue to play D, G, Em, G and then play it
once more while wailing “woohoohoo” and “little
fighter” and then end on D. The lead here does
whatever but I’m not going to bother, most people are
just going to want to play this alone on acoustic and
forget the lead altogether anyways.

"Jesus"-----------------------------------------------

O.k., when I say “Pinky thing” I mean that little
hammer-on/pull-off done on the high e-string between
2nd and 3rd fret most people like to do while playing
the open D chord. Very simple. Start out with open
chords but for the chorus you must use bar chords…

D (pinky thing) G D
Jesus, won't you help me find my way
G D
A
Won't you send me some money in the mail
D (pinky thing) G D
Jesus, won't you let me drink one more
G D
A
It helps me to ignore how much I have failed
(Now switch to bar chords, except E, play open)

E (single strum)
I'm gettin' sick
F (single strum)
gettin' ill
G#(single strum)
gettin' tired
F#(single strum)
gettin' fired
E(single strum)
I'm gettin' killed
F(single strum)
I'm gettin' chilled
G#(single strum)
I'm gettin' crazy
F#(now start strumming the rhythm
and kick in the distortion…and scream your head off!)
I'm gettin' lazy
E
I'm gettin' screwed
F
I'm gettin' used
G#
I'm gettin' kicked
F#
I'm gettin' tricked
E
I'm gettin' out
F
gettin' out
G#
gettin' out
F#
gettin' out
G A
I'm gettin' ... high
G A
I'm gettin' ... high

(same as first verse)
Jesus, I could keep my family
if You could just send me some money in the mail
Jesus, I don't mean to complain
but it gets cold, it gets lonely inside a cell
(Same as before)
I'm gettin' sick
I'm gettin' ill
I'm gettin' tired
of gettin' fired
I'm gettin' killed
I'm gettin' chilled
I'm gettin' crazy
I'm gettin' lazy
I'm gettin' screwed
I'm gettin' used
I'm gettin' kicked
I'm gettin' tricked
I'm gettin' out
gettin' out
gettin' out
gettin' out

I'm gettin' ... high
I'm gettin' ... high

Here’s a little change:
C G A
high, gettin' high
whoa-whoa-whoa
C G A
high, gettin' high

For the solo part the rhythm guitar plays: D G D A D G
D A

Now back to one last chorus, same as before…
I'm gettin' sick
I'm gettin' ill
I'm gettin' tired
I'm gettin' fired
I'm gettin' killed
I'm gettin' chilled
I'm gettin' lazy
I'm gettin' crazy
I'm gettin' screwed
I'm gettin' used
I'm gettin' kicked
I'm gettin' tricked
I'm gettin' out
gettin' out
gettin' out
gettin' out ...
(just keep playing E F G# F# and scream “I’m getting
out” like a maniac until it’s time to end on E)

"Rocket and a Bomb"------------------------------------

WARNING: This lyric contains what some might consider to be offensive language.

D A
All I ever wanted
D A
was a good job
Bm
some bus fare
G D
a rocket and a bomb
A D A
Uh huh, yeah-heah
(distortion comes in, play through D A D A Bm G D A D
A D A Bm G D A…

D A
Had a dream I'd be all right
Bm G
D A
Had a nightmare I'd be crackin' up this 'caine
D A
I lit your vision for a time

'til it snapped my spine
Bm G D A
and bled me from your vein

G
It keeps pushin' A
It keeps pushin' you away
D A
All I ever wanted
D A
was a good job
Bm
some bus fare
G D
a rocket and a bomb
A D
Uh huh, yeah-heah

D A
It's not your fault I made you ill
Bm G
D* A
From this open sore that spills pus in your name
D A
I tried to fix on what I feel

Beg another meal
Bm G D* A
and shame your pride again
G
It keeps pushin'
It keeps pushin' A
It keeps pushin' you away
(once again play through D A D A Bm G D A D A D A Bm G
D A, while the solo plays whatever)

G
It keeps pushin'
It keeps pushin'
It keeps pushin' A
It keeps pushin' you away

(same as before)
All I ever wanted
was a good job
some bus fare
a rocket and a bomb
Uh huh, yeah-heah
(o.k., now for the fun part, it goes like this:
D A
Sh – it

D A
Sh – it

Bm
Shit shit

G D* A
Shit shit

D A
Sh – it

D A
Sh – it

Bm
Shit shit

G
Shit shit
(cant help it but that was fun to write)
Play through D A D A Bm G D A D A D A Bm G Bm …….yeah the end.

Now there is a little lead part that I tabbed out that
is played in the places marked by the little *. If
you are playing bar chords it’s really easy to slip
this into the rhythm and be back on time to play the
next D chord. It goes like this:

G}----7-------9-------11-------12-------14----------
D}--------------------------------------------------
A}----5-------7--------9-------10-------12----------
E}--------------------------------------------------

Note: this does not show the meter or timing in
rhythm, just the fingerings. But its simple to figure
it out.
