Michael Knott, on of Christian alternative music's best known iconpclasts, brings back L.S.U. for the first release on his new label. This is probably the bands furthest musical stretch to date, featuring lots of Brian Doidge's clangorous, distorted guitarshot in the nix ala Jane's Addiction or Smashing Pumpkins.
Knott's lyrics are equally potent, displaying his usual blend of the cryptic, caustic and compassionate. Throughout his career, Knott has remained in touch with that portion of himself that houses the doubts and fears many believers try to ignore or deny; "There's a Time" perhaps best exemplifies that turmoil-"I got lost in the confusion/Of what I really want and know/The final confrontation/Is the Owner of your will."
