Meeting Carson at the Station

This is gonna be the first of my three stories. The other two are gonna come sometime later, about the other two times I met Carson. I was gonna type up why I call him “Carsey Cakes,” but I don’t think anyone cares, so nevermind. At the moment, that hyper-link that says, “that other story” doesn’t go anywhere, so don’t click it!!

Well, the first time I met Carson was in ‘95 when KOME was giving out these Pearl Jam bootleg cd’s. That was back when Pearl Jam were pretty darn close to my fave band. They have long since been bumped down to about 50th tho, but anyways. . .My two bros and I all won cd’s on the radio, and in order to get ‘em, you obviously have to go down to the station.

At that time, Carson had been my fave dj because. . .well, like I said in that other story. . .but eventho he was my fave dj, I’d never seen him before; so when my bros and I went down to the station, I asked the intern there if Carson had some free time so I could get his autograph. So she said yeah, blah, blah, blah, and the next commercial break, he came out. The first thought I had when I saw him, (well, besides the fact that he’s a total hottie) was that he’s hella tall!! 6’2 to be exact, but everyone already knows that. But what surprised me was that he had a nose ring! It was one of those silver ones with the blue balls to clasp ‘em shut. So like every other person would do, I asked him if I could touch it (just kidding about the “every other person part=) ) . So he bends down and sticks his face in mine and goes, “sure.” So I was telling about how much I loved his radio shift and that he was funny, blah, blah, blah. . . and he says, “Alright, if there’s dead air, I’m blaming it on you guys!!” And he points to my brothers and me and starts crackin up (simple minds. . .) .

So anyways, back then, he used to paint all his nails, but the cool thing that made them look so nice, was that none of them were the same color. He had like green, blue and black. . .and they were all the dark colors of course.

Before he left to go back to the booth, I asked if he could sign my PJ bootleg cd with “Carsey Cakes.” Dude, I swear, he started crackin up sooo hard that I asked him to sign that; but he did it anyways. I mean, he called it upon himself! He signed my bros’ cd’s with Carson Daly tho. And while he was signing, he said, “I usually make funny comments on these kinds of things, but I’m running kind of late. Sorry ‘bout that. ” So we all shook his hand and jammed.

This is the one picture i didn't get from Mtv or KOME obviously, so please ask if you would like to use it, so I don't have to kick some arse. (Just kidding about the kickin' arse part, but please ask.)
