Bette Midler's music has covered every style and genre. Her ability to use her voice
to rise to any emotion has made her music as unforgettable as she is. She's said herself
that her albums are not refined, and that she would not want them to be. Her albums have
always offered a variety of styles and songs, and she never ceases to amaze. She is most
famous for what she calls 'inspirational ballads', those being most notably 'The Wind
Beneath My Wings', 'The Rose' and 'From A Distance', but she covers much more than slow songs.
Her original sound was more motown sounding, and then moved on to disco and the hard rock
neccesary for her role in 'The Rose', and then moved through the techno age to her current favorite,
which is usually medium tempo, uplifting songs. Her new album has a lot of the
good old Bette fun stuff, that she's included on most of her albums. Here is a list of Bette's
