A Memorial To My Brother Brian

"In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit"

-Albert Schweitzer

This page is dedicated to preserving the memory of my brother Brian. Please read what I have to say about him - he was a great guy. And please sign my guestbook below - Thank You.

Brian was a "good" guy in all aspects of the word. He was always there when you needed him, and would do anything for you. He was the SW Iowa wrestling champion in 1984, graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1985 and graduated from Tarkio College in Tarkio, MO. in 1990 (as class president) with a BA in Political Science and a minor in History.

He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, Oakland Raiders and the rock group KISS. Many were the times that he dragged me out to a concert, or made me and my other brother Chris dress up in full KISS makeup and put on an "air jam" in the living room.

Brian spent the last 5 years of his life working for Springfield Academy in Springfield, S.D. He was a group leader there, and helped the young men who lived there with their various problems. They had a memorial service for him there, and everybody spoke very highly of him. The students and staff there were blessed enough to have been touched by this wonderful man.

Not a day goes by where I don't find myself thinking about Brian. Many nights still I lie in bed and cry myself to sleep, remembering all the things we did while we still had him around. We are all very saddened beyond belief by this tragedy, and the healing process is just beginning. Always remember that life is precious, and always treasure the ones you have and love, as you never know when they will be taken from your life forever.

Brian passed away 8/25/98, just 1 day before his 31st birthday, from complications related to a surgery he had just a few days before. He was an inspiration to all of us, and he will be missed very much. Thank you to all who have taken the time to visit this page. God is lucky to have someone of your caliber sitting beside Him for eternity. Rest in peace brother, and rest assured we will never forget you.....

Love, Brent and the rest of the world
