Johnny BeGooode
Duties: Vocals, keyboards, harmonica, bass, drums.
Johnny BeGooode, also known to the world as the irascible
Fred Sanford, has been a major art figure near Airmaus' Haus for several
years. In 1996, he began work on "Molesto Man," which was to spawn the
first (and only) Johnny B. Gooode &
The Downtown Boys album.
At that point, he began writing new sets of lyrics, exploring
haiku ramblings and sarcastic love odes to Xena, Warrior Princess. Recently,
though, Johnny's lyrics have taken on a bluesier, more emotional edge.
This is most evident on the recent JBA blues romp, "Carry Me The Distance."
Johnny handles most of the lead vocals on JBA albums,
although he doesn't like to admit it.
Yes, BeGooode has three O's in it.
