"Thanks for shopping at Strawberry.Have a nice day." I said as I handed a girl her change.
"Christine, my shift is over.Have a nice day!" I said as I took off my tag and put it in my purse.I walked out the store with my new pair of clothes.Every time a new shipment comes in,I buy and outfit for half price. I was wearing khaki bellbottoms with pockets at my ankles,a dark blue tank top, and a black cardigan that was open.I had on my new black platforms,and my hair was up in a bun with curls hanging down in front of my face.
"Hi,welcome to Coda.You need some help?" An African- American asked.
"Ya,do you have any Fubu jerseys in baby blue?" I asked.
"Ya,they're right over there." He said as he pointed to a little corner.As I passed through the little store,there was no sign of a blonde guy.I found the jersey in my size,medium,and chose some other Fubu items.I got some black Fubu jeans, a gray tight shirt,and a baby blue sweater.
"That will be $177 and 35 cents." The lady said.I showed her my mall pass,and she just nodded.
"Okay,that will be $125 and 11 cents." She said,I handed her a hundred doller bill and a fifty,payday,how sweet. 2 checks,both for $325.Total of $650.
"Thanks for shopping a Coda,come again." She replied.I nodded my head and walked out the litte store.I sat down on the bench in front of the store,and waited for Taylor to arrive.
"Hey Lyssa! Sorry so late." Taylor said as he sat down next to me.
"No prob,so what movie are we gonna see?" I asked.
"Either Cruel Intentions or 200 Cigarates" He replied.
"Cruel Intentions.But first,I want to stop by and check how Samantha is doing." I replied as I picked up my bags,and made our way through the jam packed mall.I wasn't ready for was yet to come,too much for me.
"Hello,may I help you?" The nurse behind the large desk said.
"Yes, I heard there was a room change for Samantha Ochoa. I would like to know her new room number please." I replied.
"Oh miss, I'm sorry.At the moment,she is in entensive care. There was a heart failure, and her lung capacity began to drop.The doctors had to operate immediatly, it seems one of her ribs ruptured, but some sort of miracle happened, and it only had a minor effect on her. If you would like, you may come visit her later on." She informed as my jaw dropped to the floor. I was in complete awe, I couldn't believe what I had just heard.
"Th--Thank--you.I'll-- come back." I replied.Taylor looked at me, and wiped away a couple of my tears.He pulled me closer and hugged me tight,as tears flowed out of my eyes.
"Shhh,she's going to be okay.Please, please stop crying." He said as he rocked my back and forth. I slowly recovered, and sniffled as I wiped my wet cheeks.
"She's not going to make it is she?" I asked him.He stared down at me, and stared blankly into my eyes.I knew she wouldn't survive.She had been in the hospital for over a week,and she had been doing terribly.
"That was a good movie,actually, pretty sensless,but good." I commented.
"Resse and Sarah,woah!!" He said as he laughed. We walked out of the theatre,and into his car. Real nice car,black Mercedes.In just a couple of minutes, I would get the news that would change my life forever, but could it change my life in a good way???……
1 Month Later
"Hey Samantha,whatcha wanna do?" I asked as I flipped through the channels.
"How 'bout we go out with the guys,just go walking or some shit." She said as she shruged her shoulders.It was noon,and we were still in our pjs,which consisted of underwear and a long shirt over it.
"Sounds better than this.But what to wear!?" I said as I stiffled a laugh.
When we had finished taking a shower,we chose what to wear. I picked out a baby blue tup top,with a pair of black Lee Pipe Bell bottoms,and some one Skechers. Samantha chose a baby blue tank top from Fubu,and my black Fubu jeans with some white Skechers.We got dressed, and put our hair up in a pony tail. We put on some lip gloss,and grabbed our purses,jackets, and left.We took my car,and drove to the Hanson household.
"Hey baby,how ya feel?" Zac asked Samantha.Well,ever since Samantha was out of the hospital,the first question that came out of Zac's mouth was if she would go out with him. So, apparently,they are an official couple.Me and Tay, I really don't know what we were.We did share kisses,but little pecks.I just really didn't know at the moment. Well, Zac and Sam chatted a while,until Taylor came out.He looked at me and smiled, and then signaled me to follow him. I excused myself,and went with him.Suprisingly,the Hanson household was empty.
"Alyssa, I want to give you something.Here, open it." He said as he handed me a little box.I smiled,and opened the little box."Oh my…… its beautiful." I said as I picked up a bracelet,with a amethyst stone in the middle,and my name carved on a small little plack.
"You like it?" He asked.
"I love it,thank you so much!" I said as I gave him a hug,and a kiss on the cheek."And there's one more thing I have to tel you." He added.
"Well what is it!!' I said as I slipped on the bracelet.
"I can't tell you know,but later…at night." He said.
"Uhh!! Ihate when you make me wait!" I whined,as we both got up and went back into the living room,where Zac and Sam were sharing a kiss.
"Okay,shows over!!" I yelled,and laughed at the same time. They both jumped back and turned a light shade of pink.
We ended up going to the mall,buying yet more outfits,along with hair accesories,and some cds.When me and Taylor were at the food court,waiting for Samantha and Zac to bring the food,I asked him again.
"Not now,I promise you,when we get to my house, I'll tell you." He said.
"Man! I'm gonna kill you!" I said as I kicked him lightly under the table.
"Ow! Will you wait!" He said as a smile formed across his face.
"Oh,you little bastard!This better be worth the wait!" I exclaimed.
"Don't worry,it is." He said,as he changed the subject,and started talking about the fight between Janet and Ike.
"Everybody ready to leave?" I asked.Everybody nodded,and we all got up from the table.
"Geez girl,how much did you spend!?"Zac asked as he looked at the seven bags in her hand.
"I dunno.I lost count after $233." She said.
"Well,let me help you with those bags." He said,as he took about five bags into his hands.Me, I know how to spend.I brought a total of 4 jeans,a dress,a pair of shoes,3 tank tops,two Kani sweaters,three CDS,and several scrunchiis for a total of $232 and 76 cents.I knew how to shop and save,and working in the mall and having a mall pass also works.
Well,whatever Taylor was going to ask me,it wouldn't matter. Everything we went though,would be gone in an hour,just because of one simple little mistake………
