The Choise
Ilanit was chosen to represent israel once again in the contest (the other time being in 1973), this time with a song called "A'hava hee Shir Lishnayim" (Love is a song for two).
The Israeli delegation to London was very small, and the IBA didn't send the backing singers with Ilanit, so the team had to use a local British team of singers, and so the english accent of the backing vocals in the live show is very clear to the israeli ears.
The song was less succesfull than Ilanit's first attemp, and reached the 11th position
