Dear friends,

Heard from David that you are talking about a split of Vacuum. Well,
it´s true in one sense! We have left Stockholm Records. Why? Well,
it´s a long, quite boring story, but in short we disagreed on
everything. That´s a good reason! We are currently working
on different projects and we are not focusing on Vacuum right now
except the live-shows. But we want you to know that we have NOT split
up and you will see more of us in the future. We also want to add that
if we had had a record-company who believed in our ideas and music we
would have continued but as things turned out we had not. We have
enjoyed big-time success in Russia and Marina and I have loved
every second of it and we hope to perform live soon again. We will
keep in touch with David in everything that we do so he will keep on
feeding you info.

*Ritmo de Amor remixed reviewed.It is now a great looking hit.I am quite sure that with this latin edition and nice intro with guitar lifts,this song now have very big hit potential with a nice promotion!!!!

* JP continues as a stylist and make up-artist on TV3 in the tv-show "Silikon". Dominika will appear in this show too on Monday to talk about how it is to be a mother. She had her daughter Hanna on August Alex are buissy with Alcazar which have released their third single "Ritmo del amor" now + the album "Casino".Camillas duo with russian artist Danko "Russians R Coming" is outdown in Europe, Michaela has released her first solosingle "S.O.S." now.Thx to Roger Ericsson for this update....

*Johan Jarl reports". La Camilla & Jean Pierre Barda have roles in the Swedish film
 "Livet Ar En Schlager" = Life is a Eurovision song..."
  They play themselves in the film at a big release-party or something.
 Other famous stars are in it, like Carola Haggkvist, Regina Lund and others.
 The film deals with Eurovision Song Contest, the evil Papers/Press, transvestites,
 music, happiness, death... It's a great film:) On the soundtrack to this film Jean Pierre finally releases his first solosong.
 It's called "Lovecity" and is an upbeat dancetrack, very far from AOL.Also I have 2nd doubts about how much of the vocals that's actually sung by him...No recitations here...It sounds very much like a Cheiron Studios song. Not sure if that's the fact..

*Johan Jarl also report that "According to a paper today AOL are definatelly back.
A new single is mentioned and thatthey from the start wanted De La Couras a member again.However Dominika claims she has dissappeared!!! Noone has seen her for very long, and therefore she can't be a member...De La Cour is GONE! without a trace...The article also states that they're doing AOL just for fun this  time:)....

*Army Of Lovers will definettly back after 2001.They recorded new stuff it's unofficial news but this is according to Vacuum and Alcazar mailing lists.Their lineup will be Alexander Bard,Jean-Pierre Barda and Dominika.Dominika also had a baby good luck to her in both ways..

*Alcazar released Casino.I didnt get it but I listen all the songs by mp3's.I will get it I hope....

1.Don't leave me alone:Ace Of Base stylish song.Will be a nice hit if it's release as a single.

2. Crying at the discoteque:I don't like it when I first heard but now it is ok I think.But surelly hit potential weird video inc. Alexander Bard.Also finally hear the recite of Alexander.The best part...

3.Shine On:Army Of Lovers lyrics mix with B.Spears.Nice song also quite a radio play here before...

4.Transmetropolis:Very syth song and weird chorous.But nice I liked it.JM Jarre stylish a bit....

5.Stars Come out at night:The best song in the album.If the recites would improve this song could be a nice hit.Also very AOL style chrous.It makes me remind Aol when first heard it...

6.Paris in the rain:Very nice song could be good club hit.A bit like Pet Shop Boys old style...

7.Baby come back:Very weird background but it is not satisfy me at all.Very cheezy lyrics but nice end with sinth and claps......

8.Salome:One of the best and very ironic sound for Alcazar.Trip-hop soundand Aol related lyrics.It was in my mind for months....

9.Ritmo del amor:The 3rd single from the album.If it was released in June it could be hit in Italy,Turkiye and Spain.Very very chezzy lyrics and latin sound.Quite nice song with Tess and Annika...

10.Seasons in the sun:Well cover of 70's hit.But they did a quite nice cover but song is very cheap....

11.Tears of a clone:Vacuumish lyrics,Vacuumish sound.If u are a real Alexander Bard fan you quite like this song.So with bass syths with piano attractions.Andreas also use quite nice his voice.But Mattias could sing this song nice too..

12.The Bells of Alcazar:Cover of Phunnk's Everybody superstar.Very powerfull comercial song.Aol style.Vacuumish lyrics....

13.Blues in G minor:Very slow and boring song.Not for Alcazar surelly but Andreas uses his voice quite blues ways:-)....

14. Dub leave me alone:Dubs are going well after all Aol albums.Dub me like a loaded gun,Dub evolution and now this...

Well Album is Andreas Lundstedt leaded vocals but not a bad album but not near Aol yet.Maybe next one would be a better.But it is easy listenning but also nice songs in the album.7 out of 10 I could give......

*Now back to Vacuum.Vacuum really dissapointed me with the new album The Culture of night.First what happened to all remixes Tears of a nation,Let the mountain come to me,Satyricon......

We can understand is Alex is gone lyrics are gone.What hapeened to science on new song?

Also album name can give us another way of thinking alexander Bard never gave a song name to a album but now album change name same name with a song in the album...

Icaros:One of the best song nice remix and different vocals by Mattias....

Power:2nd remix was incridble but this one have more electro guitars and more rocky...

Tears:Lyrics are not Vacuum surelly.Not suitable for real vacuum fans.But Mattias is great..

My Melting Mood:Not lyrics but quite ok but not that good that I expected.Not like Big in Japan surelly exept intro of the song...

The Culture Of Night:I like this song much but I like it with more brozone sounds.Ending is good...

*Roger Ericsson reports "La Camilla turned up in two TV-shows some days ago; "Upp till Bevis" (eng. Up to proof) and "Uppdrag: Musik" (eng. Mission: Music) were she and two other celebritys sang a cover of a famous swedish folkdance song called "Blue Hawaii".
"Jean-Pierre has been stylist and make over-artist in the TV-show "Silikon" during the spring. Ha also have become manager for a very big and famous hair saloon in Stockholm, the NK-hair saloon. At christmas he will turn up in a movie, playing himself, called "Livet är en schlager" (eng. Life is a eurovision song). He was also included in the chorus to one of the songs in the Swedish eurovison this year. The song was called "Bara du och jag" (eng. Only you and me) and was performed by Balsam Boys (a single is out). "

*Vacuum finally released the singleIcaros.In few palces in Sweden.The Culture Of Night is the new album's latest and final name....
*I also have the song right now.It changes so much.I amazed with this change.Great work....
*Johan Jarl reports that he had the promo single of Icaros.He reports"Well this version is faster and has a lot of electric guitarrs, but the guitarr is not dominating the song.There is a guitarr solo in the intro and between the verses. The vocals are diffrent too. Mattias sings the bridge higher than live and breaks out in a very high tone "man has learned to fly.... (fly starts low, then Mattias hits the gigh note...) The sound is very much cheiron studios...The verses are a lot like TMCTM, but less minimalistic.There is a synth sound added in the chrous that wasn't included in the version version as well..."
