L'augmentation, Soleil (Pickled Egg) 7"
You're walking along wide, tree-lined Parisian boulevards, the smell
of freshly-ground coffee and just-baked croissants in the air, a grey
old man playing his accordian shouts a cheery "bonjour" and continues
to crank out some croaky old Doors number on his (sq)wheeze-box. The
sun is shining, a beautiful French woman...bzzzt. No, you're
day-dreaming in Birmingham and it's dull and concrete as usual. But
the sound is still in your ears, and now on plastic, a 60's key-heavy
pop sounds, spiralling around the single lyric "Il y a du Soleil" and
taking you back inside your head.
