I deserve better than this.
I deserve more than a slow steady beat of a kettle drum dictating life to me.
I deserve to be seen, heard and acknowledged.
I am the only one who can save you

so I have nothing left to lose.
I've already been labeled 'impossible', 'worthless' and 'out of place'
so there's nowhere to go but up.

One chance. I have one chance I am not afraid to use.
Everyone gets that one chance
which is so often squandered.
King, Lincoln, Mandela, Einstein, Hawkings...
all of them had but one chance each
and maybe they came from different places and different times,
but they did it.
They wanted a different world, maybe a brighter destiny...
and they got it.
So if not me, then who?
And if not me, why not me?
it's becoming more and more clear that fewer and fewer people
want to get off their asses to try to
contribute
so it looks like I've got a lot of visionless, dead lives to make up for.
