Lets gather round the carcass of this man you used to fear
The man who ransomed all the lives that you all hold so dear
A bony finger on the button of that doomsday machine
He wrestled 'gainst the world religions and against the queen
Oh he spoke aloud of poetry, of freedom and of choice
He looked at me, a fumbling child and gave to me his voice

To say that I will miss him is to say the sun is hot
And all of you did things to him that I said I would not
We fought against ignorant crowds, together him and I
But now this darkest of the days, he's settled down to die
With a heart so deeply sunk I tower over him
Its something I wish wouldn't be, it's something like a sin

Through his life experience I learned so many things
I learned there is a better life, where we have mended wings
Magic words from off his lips, "co-operation... trust"
Invisionment of things like these can't pass away to dust
A liberty, an anarchy, an end to every gun
can only benefit mankind, yes each and every one

Imagine a world without this violence, somewhere without pain
Then turn your head to look back at this dead "monster" again
