"I didn't think you hated me this much..."

Chapter X: Workgirl

I think I've written enough about Workgirl, really. All I think I could do is repeat myself. For whatever reason thought, she remains one of my favourite would-be's. Maybe it was because she might have been the most attractive of girlfriends, and for that reason the biggest ‘conquest'. She's been a continual favourite in fantasy situations since her appearance, oh so long ago. When was that, maybe last December? You know something that's kind of strange? I always seem to get hooked into relationships that would be great around December. My first one was in December, and then a year later my best one was in December, which lasted til after the next December after that, and then last December there was Workgirl. Now, with December coming in just over a month, I have to wonder what's next. But that's off topic. Let's see... hmn, what else can I say? There was an amount of humour, but I guess it was mostly supplied by me. I just really liked to make her smile. I actually did the wedding ring bit to her too, but you know... she at least responded. I went up to her in the kitchen one time, upon urging from the Crazy Waitress, got down on my knee and took her hand. I looked up with the most solemn face I could muster and said to her, ever so sweetly, "Would you... would you marry me?" And she quickly wiped a smile off her face and so plain-as-day told me, "Sure, but the ring goes on the other hand." I told her that dammit, I just didn't care as long as I got to just touch her hand for a moment or two. Heh, massive cheese, eh? Oh, and I remember once I was just walking next to her and for no reason let out a sudden awestruck "whoa...". She turned to me and said, "What?" to which I replied, "I didn't think it was possible, but as the night goes on you just become more and more beautiful." Would have been a pretty dumb line if it wasn't true, but it was so hey, nothing to lose.
So do you know what she did?
She hit me.
Typical.
But I liked it. Wow, was she ever pretty. Had a real Rachel Leigh Cook thing in her face. Oooh...
