"I WANNA BE LIKE YOU"

Myself and Debbie travelled down to Glasgow on Friday 15th May 1998 to King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut to see The Dandys. I had just returned from my holiday, arriving in Glasgow early that morning, following that I had to drive up North, only to return to Glasgow that evening, phew…. it was worth it though....

The Dandys were currently on their English Country Garden tour, after supporting Shed Seven. Unfortunaltey, we had just missed a few songs of their set. Got there in time to see them play "English Country Garden", their new single that is an excellent summer anthem, which was released the following Monday.
They played the fabulous "You Make Me Wanna Scream". This song is so great live, it just captures you and pulls you into the dark atmosphere that it creates, oooh... with the lights dimmed and those flashing strobes, Next they played "All That You Do", "Till There Was You" and the marvellous "Johnny Foxtrot". The Dandys sure know how to put on a show !
