Chapter Seven
The group split up. Brian , Nick, AJ, and Howie decided to go on more rides, while Kevin and Erin went to check out the Magic Kingdom.
"What do you want to see first ?" Kevin asked Erin.
"It doesn't matter to me." she replied.
"Well, you've got your own personal tour guide here, I'll show you the good stuff." Kevin said, taking Erin's hand in his.
"I don't think it can get much better than this." she smiled.
"Trust me," Kevin started "it get's a lot better." he finished as he softly kissed Erin's forehead.
The two walked around for what seemed like only minutes when it started to get darker.
They were so deep in conversation, they lost all sense of time.
Kevin looked at his watch. "Oh wow. It's seven-thirty already. The guys are probably kinda worried, we should head back."
"You're right...it's getting kinda dark." Erin added.
They turned around and headed for where they left the others.
"So, did you have a nice time today ?" Kevin asked, putting his arm around Erin's shoulders and pulling her to him.
"Of course I did !" Erin answered.
"That's good...so did I." Kevin added. "I'm glad we spent the day together."
Erin rested her head on Kevin's shoulder as they walked in silence for a while.
The quiet was suddenly broken by the sound of AJ's voice.
"Where the hell have you two been ?" he yelled jokingly.
"Just talking. We sorta lost track of time." Kevin explained.
"I would say so !" Brian replied. "You've been gone for hours !" he laughed.
"Yeah...sorry 'bout that." Erin apologized.
"It's no problem...we were just a little worried." Howie added.
"Hey...I don't know about you guys, but I'm starving !!" Nick complained.
"I am too." Kevin agreed. "How about we head home and make something ?"
"Sounds good to me !" Brian said.
The group headed toward the park exit.
They were at their cars in less than ten minutes. They split up...everyone in the same cars as before.
Howie, once again, got in the driver's seat and started the car. He waited until Erin, Kevin, and Brian got situated.
"Hey, Brian, would you mind driving ?" asked Erin. "I'm kind of tired."
"Why can't I drive ?" Kevin asked.
"Well...I was kind of hoping you would sit in the back with me." Erin replied. "But, if you really want to drive..."
"Oh...no. Brian can drive !!" Kevin said.
"Yeah, sure...I'll drive." Brian agreed, figuring he didn't have much of a choice.
"Good...now let's get in." Erin ordered.
The three of them quickly got in the car so they could get going.
Brian pulled out of the spot and Howie followed him out of the parking lot.
"Wow, I'm so tired." Erin said sleepily.
"Well, just put your head down and relax." Kevin told her.
Erin laid her head down on Kevin's lap. He started running his fingers through her hair and then began to sing "All I Have To Give" to her softly.
Erin quickly fell asleep to Kevin's beautiful voice.
"So, what did you two do today ?" Brian asked.
"We just walked around and talked about all sorts of things." Kevin answered.
"That's good." Brian said. "It's funny, when I told her you would be here today she sounded pretty excited." he continued.
"I'm happy you invited her. We haven't seen each other in years." Kevin started. "I just wish you would've let me know she was coming. I could've been a little more decent."
"Trust me...she didn't mind !" Brian laughed.
After that, they drove all the way home in silence. Kevin just sat there and watched Erin sleep and Brian was thinking what a lucky guy Kevin was, "I guess he deserves her, she's great." he thought.
