The John Lennon Anthology was the main Beatle-connected item missing
from the shelves since John's tragic death in 1980. Instead, the public
had a number of collections such as the 'John Lennon Collection' which
missed wonderful recordings such as 'Nobody Told Me' and 'Look At Me'.
There were very little demos and studio rejects available.

Thanks to Yoko, the anthology was put together and is now available.
I purchased the box set sometime around Christmas 1998 and was amazed
at its content.
The set features four excellently mastered CDs in chronolgical order and
a beautifully presented, CD sized book which featured notes from Yoko and
a collection of lyrics.
The set also features a large amount of those little Lennon doodles we all
know and love. There is also the complete 'Z is for Apple' poem hidden in
in the set.

Following my buying this set, I was inspired to read more of Lennon's written
work. And here for you are some extracts from both of his books:'In His Own Write'
and 'A Spaniard in the Works'...
