~The next day at the studio~
"Alright guys, it looks like you have it down, go take a break and we'll start back up in 20 min," Darren said.
NSync was at the studio practicing some new moves that they were working. They had one more concert in Orlando and then they would start their tour.
"Ashley!"
"Yeah, Darren, I'm right here."
"I'm not going to be able to go on the road with the guys, so if they have any problems with any of the steps, they'll come to you, okay?"
"Yeah, that's fine, thanks Darren."
The guys were in all in a room relaxing from the their intense rehearsal. Justin, JC and Joey were laid out on the couches and Chris and Lance were the floor.
"Man, that was a tough rehearsal," Lance said taking a swig of water.
"I know, these new moves are a challenge but I think we did pretty good," JC said.
Ash came into the room and started laughing. "My, what a pathetic sight!"
"Well, I didn't see you out there doing anything," Chris said pulling Ash done to the floor.
"That's because I already know the moves unlike you!", Ash said messing with his hair. Chris and Ash were really good friends because they thought exactly alike. Kelly and Becca walked into the room and Ash quickly stood up.
"Well, Ash, it's good to see you're spending your extra time productively," Becca said sarcastically.
"Whatever, Bec."
"Anyway, Darren is looking for you so he can give you instructions or something."
"Thanks," Ash said running out the door.
"And guys, Johnny says that you guys can go home early today but to be here tomorrow on time."
"Aren't we always?", Chris said trying to be serious.
"That'd be the day," Becca laughed, "Kel and I have to go over what you guys are going to wear for your concert the day after tomorrow so you guys can look over our selections later."
They started to leave when JC ran up and grabbed Kelly's arm. "Hey, Kel, can I talk to you for a sec?"
"Sure."
They left the room and the rest of the guys sat there in silence for a few minutes just taking a much needed rest.
"So, what are we going to do now since we have the rest of the day off?", Lance asked.
"I know what Joey's doing?", Chris said with a smirk on his face.
Joey looked up, "What?"
"20 bucks says he's going to call Lindsey."
"I'm in on that," Justin said, reaching into his pocket.
"What about you guys? You know you want to see those girls again."
"I wouldn't mind," Lance said quickly.
"And I'm sure Chris wants to see his Kitten!", Joey said.
"Oh, shut up!", Chris said throwing a pillow at him.
"Hey, what about you Justin?" Lance said sitting up.
"Uh...well...I guess."
"What do you mean you guess I thought you liked that chick, Kae?", Joey said throwing the pillow back at Chris.
"Well, I thought so too but I just can't read her," he said standing up and beginning to pace, "one minute she's just so cool, the next she's kinda shallow, and then she's really sweet. I just don't know what to think that's all."
"All the more better reason why you should see her again, so you can find out what her intentions are and yours," Lance said standing up also.
"Hey, I have the perfect idea, why don't we invite them over to Justin's place, and we could have a cook out?" Joey said.
"Yeah, that'd be cool," Justin said. "Hey, where'd JC go?"
"Okay JC what's up?". Kelly studied his face. Out of all the guys, she was closest to JC and thought of him as the brother she never had.
"Well, I know you're good friends with Jen and I was wondering..."
"If she's interested in you?", Kel said finishing his sentence.
"Uh...yeah."
"I know that she broke up with her boyfriend a couple of months ago."
"Yeah, she told me about that."
"And she has been asking a lot of questions about you lately."
"REALLY?! I mean oh."
"JC, just tell her how you feel and I'm almost positive that the feeling is mutual."
"Thanks Kel," he said and hugged her and ran back to the others.
Kel stood there for a second, "I really hope the feeling is mutual," she said to herself and went to find Becca.
"There you are JC," Justin said, "we're having a cook out at my place and we've invited the girls. Joey just got off the phone with Lindsey."
They all started to leave and unknown to them they were all thinking the same thought, now, I'll find out where we stand.
Back at our condo Linz had gotten off the phone and told us about the cook out. We all rushed upstairs to change. I took a little longer than usual and that was new to me. I never took longer to get ready because of a guy. I finally settled on khaki shorts and a fitted baby blue tank top. Underneath I wore my swimsuit, a baby blue two-piece halter bikini. I grabbed my blue & silver shades and ran downstairs. Everyone else was downstairs already.
"Finally," Kit said. She had red and white board shorts on top of her red bikini trimmed in white. Linz was wearing the same thing except hers was bright orange. Jen wore a white bikini with small yellow flowers on it and she wore yellow board shorts with a white tank over it. Heather had on a dark blue tankini and dark blue denim shorts on over it. We all piled into Jen's Durango and made our way to Orlando. On the way we all thought the same thing, now I'll find out where we stand.
