When Elaine's boyfriend needs surgery, Jerry and Kramer get to watch the proceedings, and later more fully appreciate the hospital's "no eating in the operating room" policy. Seinfeld has commented his line in this episode "Let's go watch them cut this fat bastard up" opened the door for all manner of verbal envelope pushing.

Embarrassing body parts are the theme for this episode, when both Jerry and Elaine are caught in compromising situations. Kramer takes Elaine's photo for her Christmas cards, but it's not till they're in the mail that she discovers just how revealing they are. And when Jerry's model girlfriend sees him touching his nose, the subtle difference between a scratch and a pick makes or breaks his future with her.

When the gang spends the weekend at a Hamptons beachhouse, everyone gets to see George's new girlfriend topless - except George. But his weekend of humiliation isn't complete until one of the girls walks in on him angry, naked, and experiencing a "shrinkage" problem.

When the gang heads up to Susan's family cabin for the weekend, Jerry agrees to stop along the way and visit a boy who must live inside a sterile bubble. When George arrives at "Bubble Boy"'s home first and gets into fight with the sick youngster, the friends end up on the run from a mob of angry townsfolk.

George decides to take charge of his future by ignoring his failure-prone natural instincts, and doing exactly the opposite. While he suddenly enjoys stunning success, Elaine's life begins to unravel in a suspiciously "George-like" matter.

George's little white lie to his date about his job as a Marine Biologist makes him a reluctant hero. Jerry unwittingly sabotges Elaine's attempts to impress an acclaimed Russian novelist, and Kramer decides to practice his golf swing at the beach.

The foursome spend the entire episode wandering around a shopping mall's parking structure in search of Kramer's car. They're further burdened by a newly purchased air conditioner and "nature calling" persistantly. Jason Alexander has called this his favorite episode, saying "We filmed for four days straight, 16-hour days. It was the first time we got giddy at three in the morning and really lost our minds."

Elaine's joke on an eavesdropper in the coffeeshop results in George and Jerry being "outed" in the press - not that there's anything wrong with that! In fact, George hopes his new "gay" status will provide an excuse to end yet another floundering romance, while Jerry learns not everyone is surprised by this "revelation."
