Propaganda

Malgrado i Propaganda abbiano segnato l'intera decade con un brano di grande impatto, Duel (1985), e che quindi siano rimasti nel ricordo di molti come una delle band più dotate di talento, le informazioni che si possono reperire su Internet non sono abbondanti.
La formazione originale, del 1984, comprende Claudia Brücken, Michael Mertens, Ralf Dorper e Suzanne Freytag, e può contare sull'appoggio dell'eclettico Trevor Horn, già produttore e membro degli Art Of Noise. Nel 1985 esce l'album A Secret Wish, che si distingue per un suono eclettico ed un vago intellettualismo. Il singolo Duel, inoltre, è un vero smash-hit. Dopo cinque anni di sostanziale silenzio artistico, i Propaganda si ripresentano con una nuova formazione (Michael Mertens, Suzanne Freytag, Derek Forbes, Brian McGee e Betsi Miller) ed un album dal titolo 1234, decisamente meno originale del precedente.
Da qualche tempo girano voci su una riunione del gruppo e su un nuovo lavoro, di cui non si sa nulla di preciso. Il loro sito ufficiale, attualmente, non sembra altro che un segnaposto...
