Nada I know that Per and Marie are not a couple, but I wrote this for the many fans who would like/have liked to see them as one. The events here are fictious and linking them to either Per or Marie was purely coincidental. Please keep and open mind while reading this and I hope you enjoy it...

Neverending Love, written by "Jeny"
- part 4 -

With anticipation, Marie slid her arms around his neck and held
him to her as they kissed. They both enjoyed the feeling and soon were
both laying together before the fire place. Per slowly slid Maries
clothes off and she untied the robe she had wrapped around him. Before
long, they lay together, naked. Per held Marie to him, never wanting to
let go as he intensified his kisses. Slowly, they reached their
destination and soared together. "He always knew how to time himself to
my readiness." Marie thought as she wrapped herself around him and
giggled. Once again the rhythm they created took over. Marie then
decided to change somethings and slid her leg down until she was able to
wrap her foot around his ankle. Once she was satisfied with the hold she
had on him, she rolled him unto his back.
Per was surprised at her boldness, for this was something she had
never done before. He smiled as she lay on top. "You've never done this
before," he said with a grin.
She responded with the same grin, "I know, but somethings have to
change."
With that, they loved each other once more reaching a place that
was created only for them. It was a perfect place with no fear, harm or
any bad entity. Only loved lived there. More precisely, their love lived
there. The rest of the world could have fallen apart and they wouldn't
have known it. Finally they're bodies collapsed from exhaustion and they
both drifted to sleep. After a few hours, Per woke and found Marie
laying in his arms with a smile curved on her lips. Not knowing where he
was, Per looked around. "Oh my God." He said when he realized he was in
Marie's house. Through his thoughts roared one thing, Micke. He could
walk in any minute and find the two of them laying completely naked in
each others arms. He woke Marie, "I've got to get out of here."
Marie sat up and said, "But, why?"
Per looked at her shocked, "You're husband.... if he were to walk
in, we won't be able to talk ourselves through this one."
Marie smiled, kissed his lips and finally said, "Don't worry, he
won't be back with the kids until tomorrow afternoon." Per sighed in
releif. A though then crossed Marie's mind. "What about your wife?" Per
looked at her and said, "She's at her parents house and won't be back
til tomorrow either." This seemed strange to the two of them. It was as
if someone made a plan for them to be together. They both lay back down
together in thought. It was too perfect.
After some time had passed, Per noticed some blood on the sheets
that they lay in. He then lifted his hand. "God, what did I do to
myself?" He said as he looked at his hand. Trying to make a fist, he
winced and sucked in his breath.
Marie took his hand and had a good look at it. "You've got to go
to the hospital," she said, then sighed, "I think you may have fractured
it."
Per looked at her in shock. It was his playing hand he had
pounded. He needed his hands, how else could he create music? How else
could he play guitar? "Shit.... If it is fractured, I won't be able to
play guitar."
Marie sat up, "Lets just go to the hospital and see what a doctor
says. Please." Per was defeated immediatly in this contest and said,
"OK."

At the hospital, Per was treated by his personal MD. The Dr. took
X-rays and found that Per had a slight fracture on his knuckle. It was
nothing to worry about, but he had to refain from using his hand too
much. When the Dr. had left the room to get bandages for Per's hand,
Marie walked in. "What did he say?" She asked, slightly in fear. Per's
eyes gleamed when he saw her, yet he sighed in sadness and said, "Its
slightly fractured, I won't be able to use my hand for a few months."
Marie couldn't say anything, she just looked at him. She wanted to
blame herself for his injury, but it was really his fault for losing
control, yet she too was to blame. She walked up to him and hugged him,
finally saying, "I'm sorry."
Per sighed and asked, "What do you have to be sorry about? I am
the one who lost it and beat up a wall. Too bad the wall won," he made a
small attempt at his usual sense of humor.
Marie let go of him and looked at his hand laying lifeless on his
lap. Marie put her hand over his and said, "Can you move it at all."
Per looked at his hand, "Yes, but... it hurts alot. I can't
believe I did that."
The doctor finally came back and Marie sat on a chair, watching
the doctor bandage Per's hand. "He doesn't need a cast?" She said seeing
him only wrap it with white gauze cloth and tapes.
The doctor looked at her and replied, "No.. there is no need to,
just as long as he doesn't use it much the hand will heal by itself. It
isn't a major fracture. He just needs to bandage it." With that, the
doctor smiled and walked out of the room.
Per looked over to Marie, who had gotten a magazine to read, and a
thought lingered in his mind. He wanted to spend more time with her, to
get to know her intimately as he did years ago. This one time with her
wasn't enough and he greedily wanted more. For him it was never about
physical pleasure, but rather for the love and understanding they had.
He was happy enough to find her sleeping in his arms every morning. Oh,
how he missed holding her all night and having her wake up in his arms
with a smile that would light up his day. Never in the four years that
they were together did the realationship get boring. Neither of them
would let it happen. They always had something new and exciting planned.
Always something to do, something to say and someone to say it to. Now
he felt lonely and torn apart inside. Could she really love him even if
he had a child with another woman? Even if he was married to another
woman? Per sighed deeply and let his train of thought sweep him.
His sigh had gotten Marie's attention and she looked at him. "Per,
what's wrong?"
He didn't answer but stay in thought. Marie got up and walked over
to him, "Per?" When she touched his shoulder, Per opened his eyes and
looked at her. Out of no where an ellicit idea rocked his mind. He
thought about it for a while and knew it had to work! "Come away with
me," he finally told her. Marie cocked an eyebrow and looked at him,
then replied, "Where to?" Per had a smile curved in his lips when he
said, "The States. I have to go to New York on business about the new
album. I can say you have to come with me. From there we can take a
plane to anywhere else, just you and I." Marie laughed and said, "You
are crazy." Per smiled and said, "No.... I am being serious, come with
me." Marie was shocked at the proposal, but didn't want to refuse. "What
about our spouses?" She said, trying to add doubt to his mind. "What
about them?" he replied. Marie sighed and continued, "They have been
going everywhere with us, what are we supossed to do, just leave them
this time?" Per grined and replied smoothly. "Yes... its only for a
week." He saw the confussion in her eyes, she nearly gave in but he
needed to add the finishing touch. "Marie,.... Please." She couldn't
resist his pleading and gave in almost instantly.

As Marie drove them back to her home. Per discussed the plan. It
was a simple one, but then again, most plans are. In the week to come,
Per had to fly to New York and try to smoothe a deal with Capitol
Records. Rather than going by himself, he would take Marie. It would be
a way to prove to the company that Roxette still lived. After the
meeting, the two would charter a plane to a place he had always wanted
to take her to, The Pocanos in Pennsylvania. There, they would stay in
his friends cabin that lay at the peak of the mountain. The plan was
perfect. Both Per and Marie, ran it through their heads until it was
flawless. There would be no way that anyone would know of their little
trip. The hardest people to lie to, were their spouses. After having a
child with Asa, Per found it difficult to lie to her. That child had
strengthen the relationship, yet he always wish things were different.
It was the same for Marie, lying to Micke over an illicit affair she was
having. Looking at her children and knowing that she lied to them too.
It hurt her beyond repair, but she needed this, she wanted this. This
may well be the last chance she and Per would ever have to make things
right. There was so much they left unsaid and so much they never did
together. Most of it was a hopeless fantasy, but at least some of it
would become a reality.

The plane flight to New York was a quiet one. Neither of them had
said much, until Marie looked over at Per and saw his bandaged hand. "Per,
what did you tell Asa about your hand?" Marie said questioningly.
Per looked down at his hand then answered her question. "The
truth,............ I told her that I was angry and punched the wall."
Marie sucked her breath in and asked, "What did she say?"
Per looked at her, "Nothing much, she was just shocked at what I
had done, says that I am not the man she married." Per then looked away
from Marie and out the window. Was he doing the right thing? Surely if
anything went wrong, Marie would go down with him.
Marie thought the same thing but added to the problem. Could
Roxette last after the affair was over? They had managed to do it once,
but could they do it again? She wondered how their careers could handle
the scandal of it if it got out. She decided she was willing to do
anything for Per now. She wasn't ever going to lose him again. She
wondered if he planned to ever leave Asa or if he wanted things to
continue as they were. She only knew in her heart he was hers and she
knew he felt the same. She had not put up a fight before letting her
resentments and fear stand in the way, but now and forever more she
would fight for him. She would make this a neverending love.
Per drifted off to sleep on the plane.... thoughts of Marie and
him with Gabriel, Josephine, and Oscar all on the beach together as a
family filled his dreams. He had conquered Sweden with Gyllene Tider. He
had conquered the world with Roxette. He had conquered business and
financial success with Tylosand, and his multiple companies. He was one
of the most wealthy men in Sweden, if not the world. But he had one goal
left.... to conquer love, to make his and Marie's a Neverending Love.
