Spectacle's Mission

Our mission is quite simple. We, through the sound of ska, want to glorify God. Hopefully, through that glorification, to show the world that God is real. We also want to help out any brothers that need some help. Even more simply stated we want to be a vessle for God's use. Our verse is I Corinthians 4:9, "For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

Even though we are just men on this Earth we are involved in a spiritual warfare. This war is being fought between the Devil and God. Each have their soldiers and as born again believers we are soldiers for Christ. As in wars fought on Earth, everyone believes that this life is easy and full of fun, some don't even know it is a war. They parade themselves around saying how great they are only to be the victims of dissinlusionment.

After people have been through the war for just a little bit they begin to realize that war is nowhere near as glorious as they believed it would be. People get hurt, paralyzed, and even die in war. In war people come to learn that you can't be independant and stay alive. You have to humble yourself and let your fellow soldiers help you out. After a short while you begin to ask yourself, "Why am I doing this?", "What benifit do i get out of this?", "Why are we fighting when the only ones who want this war are the leaders who are relaxing in their comfortable homes?"

As a band we want to help out who ever we can. If we see a fellow soldier who is wounded and fallen to the ground we will pick him up and get him to refuge. If we see a fellow human, no matter who he is fighting for, who is in dedperate need of help we will help him as well.

When VICTORY! is declared, there is a huge celebration. The entire home country of the victors is bursting with joy. You see, here is a twisty part. As God's soldiers God has already promised us victory. We will get shot, wounded, and sometimes we will feel like everything is pointless. However that only happens when we don't follow the orders that God gives us. When we are following God everything is great. That is why you can see us wherever and we have joy.
