Background
Music is an important part of Irish culture, and this is no less true in Christian circles. In the past number of years Christian music has grown immensely in Ireland. Evidence of this fact can be seen in the number of bands and the events that are currently taking place, particularly in Dublin. In order to sustain the growth, Christian music needs to become more professional and needs to broaden its horizons past playing gigs in the local Christian coffee shop. I am talking here more about contemporary Christian music, which has great potential to reach outside of the church and into people's homes.
