Michelle's October 25, 1999 Portland BSB Concert Review!
~*I went to the Portland Oregon concert and had a blast!!! The show was sooo good and it was worth the 100+ dollars I spent on the tickets*~
So here is the good stuff! :-)
My friend Hailey and I got to the venue about 1 hour or so before the doors would open, and we waited out in the rain for ever and it was raining!!! Finally the doors opend and we decided we would hit the merchindise thing first, i got a tee-shirt, a neck thing, tour book and two posters and some free stuff from someone Hailey knew that worked there. Finally we decided that we would go and find our seats, we had NFloor Row 15 seats, so Hailey brought her boniculars (sp) just in case we need to see better. This girl take our tickets and we follow her to find our row, well the rows were numberd and I was scared that the tickets were fake cause there was no row 15, so I got a little worried and finally she went to this guy who took out a
wad of tickets and handed the lady 2 tickets, she turned to us and told us that the tickets we bought were good and that they never set up rows 13 and on so we ended up getting row 9!!! BUT THE GOOD NEWS IT THAT ROW 9 WAS IN REALITY 4 ROWS FROM THE STAGE!!!! We were only 10 feet away from the Backstreet Boys!!!
At 7:30 Mandy came out, she was okay, I have heard of her but I never actually listend to the music, and she looked so young and was in my opionion just trying to hard to make the crowed like her music. Then EYC came out, they were okay also, I saw them perform before with 98*, there was a skinny guy there that kept pulling his shirt up and stuff. Finally they left and we had about 10 mins before BSB were supposed to come on, well they finally made it on at 9pm, the lights went out and it started to play the star war theme and smoke filled the room, and dancers brought tourches up and it was so cool. The coolest part was that the guys flew over our crowd!!! They were so close that Nick had to hold his board up so he wouldnt hit the hands of the
fans. And Brian looked down and waved and smiled to Hailey! It was so much fun!!! They started with LTL and the dancers were good also!!! Nick and Brian really favored our side of the stage!!! and when the whole group would stand together they favored our side also!!! I had a sign that said "Let me ride
the Train" and I was hopeing that Kevin would make his way to my side, but I held the sign up and Howie saw it and had this cheesy ass grin on his face!!! The music was great and the costumes were good!!! This was such a good concert!!! Finally when IWITW came on Kevin finally came to our side, and I
held my sign up and at first he didnt see it and I tried again!!! So finally when he was standing on a platform, he stoped dead in his tracks and just stared at my sign and me! no reaction what so ever! I took 4 rolls of pictures, with a 105 zoom camara!!! So I am so excited to get those pictures
developed! :-) Kevin looked so good, Nick looked wonderful! (He didnt look fat at all) Brian was so cute, AJ man his hair was tame! and Howie ohhh Howie looked so good also!!!
