Misty's February 12, 2000 Penn. State University BSB Concert Review

My best friend (Krista) and her mom sat on the net for 5 days bidding on the tickets for the concert in Penn State at the Bryce Jordan Center. We got them and didnt know how the seats would be. Once we got to Penn State on Febuary 12,2000, we ran to our seats and cried because we were in the 10th row and that was the best seats weve even had!!!! we bugged every security guard and staff member, wanting back stage passes, but of course, nobody would do it.

We started tlaking to one really nice staff member, and he said the best way i know for you to meet the backstreet boys is to have a lady ask you to come up on stage for the "perfect fan!" we knew we'd never get picked so we just sat in our seats for a little while. we started tlkaign to the mother and daughter beside us and they held a sign that said "pick us please!" then some lady came up to them and asked if they would want to be up onstage with bsb. we went crazy cuz we were sooooooo jealous. then the lady asked if my friend and her mom and me and my mom could go. the lady asked if we were mother and daughterand we said "yes!!!" so she took us backstage, but bsb wasnt there, and she told us while we are onstage, we werent allowed to pinch their butt 8-(, grab them, or go really crazy on them. so we all agreed. there was 5 pairs of mother and daughters, 1 for each guy. and the lady, Leela, took us to a place right in front of stage!!!! we all went crazy!!!the opening act came on, her name was Rykel, and after we had to wait for another 40 minutes. i was sooo nervous. i was afraid i was gonna fall or soemthing up on stage with bsb!!! because it was a live taping and mtv was there and all. i was shaking like a leaf soo much!

But n e ways, bsb came out finally, on their space boards. it was way sexy. and then we had to wait 8 songs till we were up onstage. until then, the show was so awesome. nick got his hair cut, and now its spikiey!!! its cute.howie kept dacing in front of us cuz we kept screaming and edging him on to do it more, same with kevin! but "dont want you back" came on,(u shouldve seen nick on that pole!!!!!) and after that was "perfect fan!", so we got taken inside the fence thing to really close to the stage. once that was over, we all started going up the steps to the stage. i was so nervous, aj was like right beside me talking to nick, and it was so unreal!!! but i got howie, and he was sooo sweet. i really wnated brian, but howie was good enough. krista got aj! it was so amazing up there on stage, we were in front on 17,000 people. and i wasnt scared 1 bit. howie made me feel like we were best friends and have known each other forever! he rubbed my legs and tlkaed to me about he was sweating and it was hot. i was like oh my gawd! thats all i could say! and he said i will be alright and he said "so whats your name hun?" i almost fell off the stage cuz he called me hun! he went in front of me to the end of the stage, and i sat on the stage near the center. he sang to the crowd for a couple of verses then grabbed my hand!!!! i was like holy crap!!! but then we walked around the stasge and the whole time he sang right to me. i watched him the whole time. it didnt seem real at all though! after we walked around once around the stage, he sat me back down, and went to my mom and my faces, and we couldnt stop smiling. it was the greatest feeling. after the song, howie gave my mom and i a hug and my mom also got a peck on the cheek. i was so jealous!!!! he said good job girl. and clapped for me!!! awe, whatta sweetie!

But then we went back to the place right in front of the stage and for the rest of the night they came coming and signing directly to us all! brian blew me a kiss and said thank you cuz i went totally crazy for him!!! and kevin waved to me, howie continued dancing and waving and smiling to me, aj kept waving and stuff, and nick didnt do much at all.brian kept laughing at us cuz our moms went just as crazy as we did and he got a kick out of that. it was so cute. he keopt making cute lil faces and eyeing us!!! awe!!! i also got a bear!!! awe!!! that was the greatest night ever!!! id do n e thing to relive that night!!!!!
