Meet and Greet


*The next morning*
“Oh come on Becca…I’m a good driver!” Cassidy pleaded.
“Oh ok, but we swap half way…” Becca bargained.
“Deal! You got your togs (bathers)?” Cassidy asked.
“Yep, lets go!” Becca exclaimed as they left the apartment.

*Out on the road*

“So did Brian call last night?” Cassidy said coasting alone the highway.
“Yeah, we didn’t talk for long but it was nice to hear his voice…” Becca said.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah…” Cassidy rolled her eyes joking at Becca.
“Shutup Cassidy, at least I’m not the one playing games with a guy who is obviously head over for them…” Becca said a little more serious.
“Don’t start Rebecca…” Cassidy warned.
“I’m not starting Cassidy, I’m just saying that things can work out in the end…..and not all guys are jerks…..look at me and Bri..” Becca continued until she was cut of by Cassidy.
“Oh please save me from your fairytale bullshit Becca, just ‘cause you’ve got Brian doesn’t mean that everyone else has to meet you at the godamn alter!” Cassidy spat.

Becca was shocked, she couldn’t reply. She just looked at Cassidy for an explanation. Cassidy sighed and pulled over, getting out of the car. Becca did the same and they both stood there in silence on the side of the highway.
“I’m sorry Becca…” Cassidy blurted out sincerely.
“Me too Cass…sorry for pushing the guy thing..” Becca said giving Cassidy’s hand a squeeze.
“No don’t be Bec, I need to move on, and I’m going to…what’s the bet there’s some absolute HOTTIES down at this beach?” Cassidy laughed.
“Yeah well let’s get there already!” Becca said hopping into the driver’s seat ready for the second half of the trip.

1:00am Canada time

“Oh my God it’s about time…” Nick said as they pulled up to their hotel.
“Hmmm, nice size crowd tonight guys…” AJ looked outside the window at the hundreds of fans barricaded outside the hotel.
“Here we go guys….” Howie said and they all jumped out, clothed in baseball caps and sunglasses.
They pushed through the crowds of ecstatic fans, signing various autographs on the way.
“God it feels good to be out of that bus!”
“Yeah I can have a nice hot shower!
“Remember guys….8:00am photo shoot tomorrow!” Kevin said before retreating to his room.

Becca beeped the horn as they pulled up at Kirstie and Emma’s beachfront apartment.
“Oh my god! This is so exciting we haven’t seen them in so long!” Cassidy enthused.
Becca parked the Jeep and Cassidy and her bounded out and up to the door.

Ding Dong
“Oh Cassidy!” Kirstie said opening the door and hugging Cassidy.
“Hey cuz!”
“Hey Becca!” Kirstie exclaimed also hugging her.
“Hey kirst!” Becca beamed.
“You’ve totally lost the accent!” Becca laughed.
“Hey Cass!” Emma came out and they all had a big hug session.
“Come inside, we want to hear everything!”
Kirstie said motioning for them to come in.
“And who’s this “Brian” Becca?” Emma raised her eyebrows suggestively.
“Let’s head down the beach and we can here all the goss..” Kirstie suggested.
“Alright we’ll just get changed!” The girls agreed.

“Ohhhh…look at the water! It’s so blue!” Becca exclaimed.
“Just like back home…” Kirstie smiled.
“Yeah....so is here a good spot?” Cassidy said looking around.
“Yeah this is cool…hey is Matt down here today Kirst?” Emma asked putting her towel down and sitting on it.
“Oooo who’s Matt?” Becca asked looking at Kirstie.
“Matt, is Kirstie’s funky, hunky, spunky surfer boyfriend…” Emma giggled as Kirstie rolled her eyes.
“Yeah well you still haven’t told us about your man Becca…” Kirstie nudged her friend in the ribs.
“Yeah come on Becca....spill!” Emma grinned.
“Well, his name is Brian…” Becca started.
“He’s gorgeous…” Cassidy interrupted.
“He’s kind and sweet..” Becca continued.
“Rich…” Cassidy sighed.
“Cassidy!” Becca giggled.
“Wow…where did you get this guy?? He sounds perfect!” Kirstie smiled.
“Ummm…..actually we met them in an old warehouse…it’s kinda a long story…” Becca tried to explain.
“Them?!?” Emma and Kirstie asked confused.
“Brian and four other guys…they’re in a band..”
“Yeah that’s how we got in this video clip!!” Cassidy said excitedly.
“Huh?! Video clip??….I think you’d better start from the beginning!” Kirstie laughed.
Becca and Cassidy proceeded to tell the two girls their story of how they met their new friends and what had happened since.
“Man….that’s like straight out of a fanfic…” Emma laughed.
“Yeah! Tell me about it!!…We should send these story lines to Samantha!” Kirstie laughed.
“A what sorry?” Becca was confused.
“Ohh…have you ever read a fanfiction?” Emma asked.
“What’s a fanfiction?” Cassidy asked.
“It’s a story…about someone....on the net…” Kirstie explained.
“There’s literally thousands on the Backstreet Boys!” Emma added.
“And they’re really good!!” Kirstie giggled.
Becca and Cassidy looked at each other.
“Show us!!!!” The both yelled in unison.

“Nick! Nick! Get up, we’ve got that photo shoot this morning!” Brian shook Nick, trying to wake him up. “Urgh…tell them I’m sick…” Nick grumbled and rolled over. “Nick this isn’t an interview, it’s a photo shoot…now get you’re bootie movin’!” Brian said pulling a shirt on.
“This sucks, I just wanna sleep!” Nick argued.
“Nick! Don’t make me take my shoe off!!” Brian said in his gorgeous southern accent.
“Yes Mum….” Nick said and slowly dragged himself to the shower.

At the photo shoot

“Hey guys, come on through…” A cheerful assistant with a clipboard ushered the boys into a brightly lit studio.
“Ok guys this is Brenda your photographer, and this is Amber your wardrobe mistress…Amber will be your WM for the next two weeks..” The assistant smiled. They shook hands with Brenda and then said hello to Amber who then led the boys into a room full of clothes.

“So guys...what do you wanna wear?” Amber looked around at the multiple racks of clothing.
“Umm…isn’t that your job?” Howie laughed.
“Well I personally think I’m doing the female society of this country a great injustice by actually putting clothes on you..” Amber smiled flirtatiously at Nick whom she thought was an absolute babe.
“Ah, but then we wouldn’t have you as our wardrobe mistress, now that would be a great injustice!” AJ flirted back.
Nick grinned, giving Amber the once over. “Not bad,” He thought. “Not bad at all.”

Soon the guys were dressed in board shorts and wife beaters, as the shoot was to be take place at the pool on the rooftop o the studio apartments.
“Wow, Vancouver looks great from up here…” Brian said taking in the view of the city.
“Sure does….it’s perfect for this shot…” Brenda said. “Ok guys, first lets have some of you sitting on the edge of the pool…yeah like that Kevin. So we can see the city in the background. Perfect guys…..……AJ and Nick jump in the pool will you. Great!” Brenda instructed as she took a run of shots.
Amber sat back watching the guys fool around in the water. “Ok guys, good work….lets take 10!” Brenda said going back downstairs for more film.
“Amber’s pretty cute,” AJ grinned.
“Yeah, she seems to have a bit of a crush on our little Nicky too!” Kevin said ruffling Nick’s hair.

“She’s only human..” Nick joked.
“All the guys rolled their eyes at Nick and phrases such as “you wish..” or “yeah she’s human not orangutan…you wouldn’t want her…” could be heard.
Brenda soon returned with more film. After she had finished for the day the boys started to get ready to go back to the hotel.
“Are we ordering in tonight?” Howie looked around at the guys.
“Yeah, safer than getting mobbed by fans….” Brian nodded.
“We’ll wanna see if Amber is free to join to join us? She is staying in our hotel remember…” AJ added
“Yeah sure…” Kevin agreed.

“Yo Amber! What ya doing tonight?” AJ asked.
“Ummm…nothing why?” Amber asked intrigued.
“Wanna join us for dinner?…We’ll probably just order in…” Howie offered sweetly.
“Sure…sounds cool…”
"Awesome...seeya later.." Nick smiled at Amber.
"You betcha..." Amber smiled to herself as the boys walked into their rooms. This was going to be a good night.
