“Really?” Nick asked unsure…but really just looking for another compliment.
“Yes really! Ever since I….nah don’t worry…” Cassidy blushed and went to get her bag.
“UHUH! You can’t start something and then not say it!!” Nick pulled her back.
“It’s stupid! Let’s just go!” Cassidy laughed.
“Please tell me!! Ever since what??” Nick searched her eyes intently.
“Urgh! I was just gonna say that….you know…ever since I saw you….for the first time….I thought you were,..you know….nice looking..” Cassidy blushed and looked away.
“Sexy?” Nick raised his eyebrows a grin playing on his face.
“I don’t kn…..just…umm…good…” Cassidy tried to explain.
“Sexy???” Nick laughed.
“FINE! SEXY! There are you happy??? When I first saw you I thought you were SEXY! Ok??” Cassidy was getting flustered.
“Shhhh….ok, ok…” Nick laughed trying to calm Cassidy down…but he was feeling very pleased with himself.

“Well?” Cassidy looked at Nick questionably.
“What?” Nick replied confused.
“Urgh! What did you think of me when you first saw ME?” Cassidy spelt it out for the blond one.
“Oh! Umm…I thought…you were…you know..” It was now Nick’s turn to feel uncomfortable.
“Sexy?” Cassidy laughed.
“I thought your accent was cool…” Nick replied hopefully.
“You’re a prick…” Cassidy laughed and began to walk away.
“Cass you know I’m joking!!” Nick walked after her laughing.
“Nope…” Cassidy shook her head.
“CASSIDY GELLAR WHEN I FIRST SAW YOU I THOUGHT YOU WERE THE SEXIEST CHICK EVER!!!!” Nick yelled at the top of his voice.
Cassidy spun around. “Shhh!!…But really??” She said self-consciously….but was really just looking for another compliment.
“Ohhh…yeah!” Nick laughed and grabbed her kissing her passionately.
Cassidy pulled away and looked at him questionably.
“Are you serious?” She asked.
“Yeah..I thought you were a babe…” Nick smiled goofily, still dizzy from the kiss they’d just shared.
“Even though you were going out with Mandy?” Cassidy asked.
“Oh shit I didn’t even think about that…” Nick admitted.
“So did you mean it or not?” Cassidy took a step back.
“I meant it with everything I am…” Nick said sincerely, taking Cassidy’s hand and putting it to his chest. He pulled Cassidy in for a soft kiss before pulling away and retrieving Cassidy’s bag from her bed.
“Well… ‘sexy’…we’d better be going..” He winked.
“Yeah we’d better….I can’t wait to drive this car….” Cassidy laughed.
“It’s got dual air-bags right??” Nick asked a little worriedly.
“GOD! Why does everyone think I’d be such a crap driver?!!!?” Cassidy threw her hands up in the air.
“Uhh…they don’t sweetie…they just…uhh….lets just go..” Nick laughed taking Cassidy’s hand and exiting the room.

Everyone was now gathered around the two cars. “Cassidy where’s the keys?!” Becca asked as Cassidy shut the front door.
“Nuuh….I’m driving!” Cassidy said matter-of-factly.
“It’s my Birthday!” Becca said indefinitely.
“Urgh! Just cause it’s your birthday….” Cassidy said throwing the keys to Becca.
“Well Nick and Brian will probably go with Becca and Cassidy, so well go with you guys…” Emma said casually as she winked at Becca.
“Sure…” Kevin said getting into the front seat of Brian’s Jeep.
Howie got into the passenger seat next to Kevin and Kirstie, Emma and AJ got in the back.

“Ummm question? Do you know where we’re going?” Becca asked Brian.
“Yeah I’ll direct you…” He grinned getting into the passenger side as Nick and Cassidy got into the back.
“Music Cass?” Becca asked as she pulled out of the driveway and cruised down the street.
“Ok hold up….” Cassidy reached into her bag and pulled out her portable CD case that was choc-full of her favourite CD’s…except one.
“By the way Bri….I’m glad that you’re new favourite CD is ‘Back at One’ by Brian Mcknight….pity it isn’t YOURS!” She laughed.
“Oh yeah sorry about that…it was in my discman and I forgot to take it out…” Brian turned to look at Cassidy in the back.
“Tis alright….you may return it at a later date…” Cassidy said flipping through the CD’s, with Nick looking at them over her shoulder….until one caught his eye.
“Woah, woah…..go back…” Nick laughed and Cassidy reluctantly flicked back a few CD’s.
“Is that the ‘Millennium’ album Cassidy??” He asked grinning.
“I don’t know Nick…is it?” Cassidy said sarcastically.
“Ooo..no need to get feisty now….it was to be expected that you would succumb to the power of the best band ever…” Nick laughed.
“Get your hand off it Carter…” Cassidy rolled her eyes jokingly.

Becca laughed. “No seriously…it is a really good album….we ‘love’ ‘You wrote the book’..” Becca looked at Cassidy meaningfully. Cassidy cracked up laughing.
“What??” Nick asked confused. Brian, who remembered the joke, laughed.
“What!!” Nick said getting annoyed.
“Nothing…..really….you’re high bit is really…..umm…cool..” Becca giggled. Cassidy and Brian burst out in laughter.
“Ohhh…you guys are meanies!! That just shows my….versatility…” Nick defended.
“Do it!!” Becca called from the front seat.
“Excuse me??” Nick asked laughing.
“Do it!! Sing it!! Sing the ‘pleases me’ high bit!!” Becca asked excitedly.
“No!!” Nick laughed.
“Awww….go on…please!!” Cassidy pleaded from beside him.
“Anything for the fans Carter…” Brian laughed from the front seat.
“I’m not singing it!” Nick replied and folded his arms.
“Well sing something…..both of you!!” Becca begged from the driver’s seat.
“Why do….??” Nick and Brian began but the girls persisted.
“Pretty please!?!” The girls gave the boys desperate faces.
“Urgh! Fine! One thing and then will you be satisfied??” Nick conceded.
“Completely…” Cassidy squeezed Nick’s hand.
“What do you want to hear?” Brian asked Becca.
“Ummm…whatever..is there a song that you and Nick sing most of or something?” Becca replied.
“This is like a family road trip….you know..where they sing and stuff…” Cassidy observed completely out of the blue.
“Umm…that’s good Cass…how about ‘Anywhere for you’ Nick?” Brian laughed changing the subject.
“Sounds good…” Nick shrugged his shoulders.
Brian cleared his throat dramatically. The girls laughed, and then Brian started taking Becca’s hand and smiling at her. Becca tried to keep her eyes on the road, but was finding it quite difficult.

Even through the darkest night you know…” Nick’s voice filled the car as the boys headed into the chorus, Brian taking the top and Nick taking the bottom.

The boys finished off and looked at the girls for approval.
Becca pulled Brian closer to her and kissed him sweetly, “That was beautiful…”
Nick cleared his throat. “Yes Nick?” Cassidy asked.
“What! I don’t get a kiss or anything?!” He pouted.
“Come here Carter….” Cassidy said pulling him in for a kiss.
“Now Brian, stop distracting Becca…she’s got to drive!” Cassidy said pulling away from Nick.
