Drinks Anyone?

Everyone chuckled at Brian's comment except Nick who gave him a tired look.
Nick's eyes fell on Cassidy who was still laughing softly to herself.

“You...” Nick pointed at Cassidy.
“I invite you in my home...only to be ridiculed!” He went over to her and in one movement threw her over his shoulder and headed out to the pool.
“Oh my, she’s gonna get very wet...” Brian laughed as he watched Cassidy scream for Nick to put her down.

Brian paused for a second, then turned back to the group.

“Drinks anyone?” He smiled as they headed to the kitchen.

“What do I get out of it if I do??” Nick smirked.

“ANYTHING! I’LL DO ANYTHING..JUST PUT ME DOWN!!” Cassidy begged.

“Hmm....anything huh??” Nick gently put Cassidy down so that she was standing next to the pool with him.

“Thanks, now lets go inside shall we??” Cassidy turned to head inside when Nick stopped her.

“Nuhuh...you owe me an “anything”...” Nick smiled mischeviously, still holding Cassidy tightly, her skin was amazingly soft.

“Nick...what are you doing?!?!” He screamed at himself.

“You’re GIRLFRIEND is gonna be here any munute and you’re out here playing 'mummy and daddy marco-polo' with the random blonde!”

His face became suddenly serious as he looked into Cassidy’s crystal blue eyes.

"Umm..." He stammered, still inching closer to her.

“Pull away now...just turn, walk, one foot in front of the other....tell her you have to go to the bathroom for christ sake...” The voices in Nick’s head wouldn’t stop.

“But this feels so right.....” Nick thought, pulling Cassidy in a little closer.

“Mandy, Mandy, Mandy....” The voices chanted.

Nick leaned in closer, their lips brushing for a brief moment, until the front doorbell rang through the house breaking the moment.
“Ummm..shit..” Nick cursed under his breath as they stood there awkwardly.
"I'd guess you'd better get that..." Cassidy said quietly, unable to look him in the eye, her cheek flushing hot.
Nick simply nodded and raced inside.

“Ok, what the hell just happened then..?” Cassidy said to herself as she walked inside slightly dazed, looking for the others.

“So miss Rebecca....did you bring you bathers?” AJ inquired.
“Yeah I brought my togs..” Becca smiled.
“Togs? What?!” Brian laughed.
“Ohhh Aussie thing...sorry..” Becca waved it away.
“That’s alright mate, just crack open a beer...” Kevin said in a pretty bad imitation of a Australian accent.

*DING DONG*

The doorbell rang and Nick bolted in from the pool area. Howie joined him.
Cassidy slowly made her way back to the kitchen.
“A drink milady?” AJ said extending a glass out to Cassidy.
“Thanks...” Cassidy said as she downed the drink.
”Holy shit....” Brian gasped.
“I hope you can handle your alcohol missy...” Kevin laughed.
“Sorry I was ummm....thirsty!” Cassidy lied, embarassed. She just needed something to calm herself a little.

Just then Nick walked back in the kitchen with his arm around a pretty girl with dark blonde hair. Howie also returned with his arm affectionatley around a stunning brunette.

“Cassidy, Bec, this is my girlfriend Julie....” Howie beamed.
The girls exchanged ‘hello’s’ and ‘nice to meet you’s’ and then Cassidy’s eyes feel on Nick and the blonde.
She held her breath as a million emotions ripped through her at the same time.

“Oh....no......he wouldn’t...” Cassidy felt her heart in her throat.

“This is Mandy...” Nick said, unable to look Cassidy in the eye.

“And you two would be are...” Mandy inquired bluntly.
“They’re friends of ours Mandy...” Kevin said giving her a menacing look. Kevin had known Mandy for a number of years, and Mandy had learned not to play her games around him.

“Uhuh...” She replied knowingly when Kevin turned his back, rolled her eyes.
“Nice to meet you..ummm where’s the bathroom? Cassidy you wanna go get changed” Becca turned, wanting a break from the tension that suddenly filled the room.

“I’ll show you where it is...” Brian offered.

“Thanks B..” Nick said appreciatively.

“No problem..” Brian smiled and lead Becca and Cassidy out of the room.

“I think we can handle it,” Becca smiled and shut the bathroom door.

“I can't believe this...” Cassidy exclaimed as soon as the door was closed.
“Mandy? What was her problem??” Becca added.
“Well Nick seems to like her....” Cassidy said quietly.
“Oh I’m sorry Cass...” Becca said sympathetically giving her friend a hug.
“It’s ok I mean...its not like anything was there..." Cassidy shrugged.

“Well then lets get changed and just have a great time...” Becca exclaimed as she pulled a pair of cute polkadot bikinis from her bag.
Cassidy smiled at her friend.
“You're right, lets have some fun!” As she started changing into her black triangle bikinis.

When the two girls had their bathers on they started back downstairs and out to the pool area.

“AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!....”
