"Grubs Up!!"


Becca screamed as someone (or ones) picked her up and dropped her into the pool

AJ and Brian both laughed loudly, while Mandy looked down unamused at her now wet pants, as she had gotten splashed with water.
“God you two are so childish!” She shook her head and wiped herself with a towel.
“But you love it Mandy!” Brian teased and splashed some more water onto her.
Becca resurfaced now aware of what had just happened. Brian was facing the other way splashing Mandy so she quickly and quietly clambered up the side of the pool and pulled him in with her.
Cassidy laughed at Brian’s expression as Becca pulled him into the pool.

Cassidy didn’t feel much like swimming so she went and sat beside Julie, who was by herself as Howie and Kevin were organizing dinner.
“Hi..” She said politely and as she sat beside Julie.
“Hi..Cassidy isn’t it?” Julie replied.
“Yeah it is..” Cassidy answered.
“And let me guess, you’re from Australian right? Howie was telling me...I went there for a year with my family when I was younger..” Julie enthused.
“Cool! Yeah me and Bec needed a change...we only arrived here 3 days ago!” Cassidy smiled, glad to have something in common with Julie.

Becca laughed at Brian’s classic expression as he pushed his wet hair off his face.
“What are you laughing at miss?” Brian asked amused.
“You..” She smiled.
“What would make you do that?” He grinned and pulled a funny face.
Becca laughed and dove underwater. She loved the feel of the water against her skin. She resurfaced a few metres away from Brian.
“What’s this...trying to get away from me huh?” Brian raised his eyebrows at her.
“Why would I want to do that??” Rebecca smiled sweetly.
She swam back towards Brian and suddenly noticed a large scar on his chest.
Puzzled she traced her finger gently along it, Brian's face intense as he watched her. Becca noticed this and smiled.
“What’s it from?” She asked, continuing to run her finger along the white scar.
“Ohhh..umm...heart surgery..” Brian mumbled.

*MEANWHILE*

“God, he's known her what, 4 hours..” Mandy said disgusted, referring to Becca and Brian in the pool.
“Looks like fun to me...Wanna join them?” Nick said suggestively, playing with the strap of her shirt.

Cassidy saw this and immediately turned back to her conversation with Julie, although her mind was elsewhere.

“Why did he lead me on like that, god what a sleaze..” Cassidy thought to herself.

“GRUBS UP!” Kevin called from inside.
Everyone got up and casually walked inside.
“Coming in?” Cassidy called to Becca and Brian in the pool.
“Yeah be right there...” Becca called back.

“Sure you will...” Cassidy laughed to herself

. “Coming Mr. Littrell?” Becca said as she headed over to the side of the pool.
“Right behind you...” Brian replied.
They both got out of the pool and Becca realised she had forgotten a towel.
“Wait here and I’ll get you one ok?” Brian answered sweetly.
“Ok..” Becca smiled.
Brian raced inside to the laundry to retrieve a towel for Becca.

The others sat down at the large dining table and everyone complemented Kevin and Howie on the feast that lay before them.
Soon everyone was eating and joking, except for Mandy, who sat silent and picked at her food, sulking.
Nick noticed this and became annoyed.
“Babe, can you just TRY to get along??” Nick hissed in her ear.
Mandy rolled her eyes, but decided to attempt a conversation to make sure Nick didn’t become any more frustrated with her.
She looked around the table and stopped at Cassidy. She took a deep breath and pasted a fake smile on her face.

“Soooo Casey right?” Mandy inquired.
“Ummm..its Cassidy...” Cassidy said slowly, not sure of why Mandy was talking to her.
“Whatever....” She quickly waved it away. She then saw Nick’s disappointed reaction and decided to try again.
“So...you’re from where??...Austria?..” She began .
“Australia..” Cassidy replied back, slowly becoming annoyed.
“Oh, yeah...whatever...” Mandy went back to playing with her food.

“If that’s what I have to be like to get Nick....” Cassidy thought to herself.

“Then he’s not worth it....”

“Here you go...” Brian wrapped a huge white fluffy towel around Becca’s shivering shoulders.
“Thanks...” Becca replied, shivering slightly.
“You cold??” Brian asked concerned.
“A little..." Becca admitted.
“Well we’ll just have to get you warm won’t we?” Brian grinned.
Brian wrapped his arms around Becca from the back and began gently rubbing her arms.
“Better?” He whispered in her ear.
“Mmmmm....yeah I’m getting a little warmer..” Becca whispered back.
Brian moved his hands down her body to her legs and gingerly placed a light kiss on her neck.
Knowing that they were starting something they couldn’t finish right now, Becca gently pushed Brian’s wandering hands away and turned to him.

“People are gonna wonder where we are...” She smirked.

“Let them wonder....” Brian mumbled to himself as he followed Rebecca inside.
