At the Top of the Hill

At the top of the hill, four girls stood. One girl was short and had shoulder length brown hair. She was wearing a mint colored dress, for it highlighted her facial features. She was called Vanity, for she was born to fulfill the man named Proud.

The girl to Vanity's left had bouncy chestnut hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a dress of pink. She was called Unbroken, because she had an untamed spirit and was born to fulfill the man named Adventure.

The girl to Unbroken's right had brown hair that was tied in a bun, with baby's breath inserted in her hair. She was wearing a dress of blue. Thus, her name was Peace. She was born to fulfill the man named Tranquility.

Finally, the girl to Peace's left had flowing blonde hair and light blue eyes. She was wearing a dress of purple. She was called Independence, for she had a mind and heart that no one could overtake. Her purpose was to fulfill a man named Understanding.

The four stood in a straight line across the hillside. In utter anticipation they waited for their chances of fulfillment. A gigantic roll of mist engulfed them. Confused and without complete sight, they pondered. Then, they saw 4 men approach them, all dressed in white. The first man had fuzzy brown hair. He walked over to Unbroken and picked her up in his arms and began to kiss her. The second man was short in height and had dark brown hair. He gently placed his hand on Vanity's face and kissed her passionately. The third man was of medium height and had sandy blonde coloured hair and brown eyes. He walked over to Peace and began to kiss her deeply. The fourth man was rather tall and wore a green wool hat on his raven black hair. He casually walked over to Independence, and cordially took of his wool hat. Independence was the last of the four to be fulfilled. The wind began to blow gently as the man gently began to kiss her. As the wind began to blow harder, so did the kisses of the four men and four women.

They did not stop their passionate love burning inside of each other for that moment. Time had stood still for them all. Unbroken had her Adventure; Vanity had her Proud; Peace had her Tranquility; Independence had her Understanding. The world as they knew it was whole.

As the wind ceased, the mist engulfed them once again. When it lifted, the four women were left, with no virtue at their side.
