TEA Party!

Ze adventure of the TEA party began as any summer day would. The TEA members were coming over, and two new ppl were to to be initiated: Jessi and Sarah. This was about a week, well exactly one week since me, Melissa, Jessi, and Sarah had went to the Monkees concert in Kingsport, TN. (It was totally kick arse groovy!!!) Jessi and I had went snack shopping earlier, and I had bought a big bag of Pixy stix--for no special reason. At about 6:00pm we had all arrived at my house. Mom and Dad left to go somewhere, and we were left by ourselves. Who knew that this would be a unchaperoned event to remember!

The first thing we did was bring the cd player outside. It was such a pretty afternoon, so why waste it? The CD of choice was of course 'The Monkees Greatest Hits' (I only had that and Justus back then--poor little deprived me!!). I popped the CD in and turned up the speakers full blast. The chair I had the player in started to shake. If the speakers hadn't have been good I would have blown them out! We didn't put the songs in any particular order, so we Monkeewalked around the house for the Theme Song--#1 on the CD. We just talked and set up the croquet set thru songs 2-8.

Then, song #9 came up--'Randy Scouse Git' Now, at the concert, Micky was totally kick arse on this song, and Jessi and I loved it!! We were already high on pixy sticks sugar rush and just the fact we were listening to Monkees songs, so we began to dance around like idiots and screaming to the top of our lungs. Jessi started playing air tympani. I was trying to snort pixy sticks while jumping up and down and singing. Katie, Melissa and Sarah were dancing in a circle. It looked as if there was a mini Monterey Pop Festival in my backyard, without Jimi Hendrix *G*.

We repeated that song twice before we moved on. We were kinda wiped after that. We shot around our croquet balls songs for songs 10 and 11 and 10 again. Then, song #12-'Daydream Believer' came on. Katie, Melissa, and I decided this was a perfect time to do the initiations. We tackled--I mean TACKLED Jessi and Sarah, Pixy Sticks in our hands. They toppled to the grass and willing let us pour out like 5 pixy sticks on each of them. I think some of the little granules got in their eyes, but they didn't seem to mind. I also "christened" Katie, just for the woolite of it. Twas fun! We also did one other thing: We like did the 'No Time' thing where Peter jumps up into Micky's and Davy's arms to the beat of 'Daydream Believer' (it works). We used Katie and Melissa, cos they're light. We all fell anyways. That twas fun too.

We calmed down thru songs 13-16. Then, the ultimate soothing psychedelic song came on: 'Porpoise Song.' We all pretended as if we were high and smoking joints. That's when I came up with a great idear. You pour pixy sticks stuff in yer mouth but don't swallow it or get it wet and then blow it out. It's really cool, I'd have to show you. So, we did that and "became" one with each other and the sky and the croquet wickets. It was groovy.
Not long after that my rents returned home and we moved inside, as if nothing had happened. It worked, but not good enough. At school on Monday my friend and neighbor on the other side of the hill Devan came up to us and asked us what kind of song I had had the word "Penguin" in it. He had heard the music! And, he had heard us! Ahhh. (FYI: the word penguin appears in Randy Scouse Git.) Didn't matter. That was the bestest TEA party ever. :)
