André Matos


Vocalist and keys-player André Coelho Matos was born at September 14th 1971 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As a teenager Andre Joined Viper, where he recorded two albums and gained plenty of tour experience. After deciding to leave Viper (due to creative differences) in 1991, Andre studied classical composing and conducting at the Universaty and graduated in 1994. In the meantime Angra was already formed.
Andre (influenced by Eric Adams, Kate Bush, Bruce Dickinson and Rob Halford) is the front-man of Angra.
