As a child of parents of Italian descents Ricardo Confessori (25/01/68) was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He joined Angra in 1993 just after the recording of 'Angels Cry'. The entrance was a big step for Ricardo because he had only experience from playing in the local club-circuit, where he played as member of Garcia Y Garcia and Korzus. Ricardo is still teaching private lessons and he gives dumming workshops. Even as Luis Mariutti, Ricardo has no passion for classical music. This makes that Angra can combine classical parts with power metal parts so well.
