Anthrax is one of the only heavy metal bands around that have remained true to themselves playing the music they have always loved - Pure Hard Core Heavy Metal!!

Anthrax have gone through many changes including the departure of long time band members Joe Belladonna and Danny Spitz. Though their departure has been shocking for long time Anthrax fans, all of the changes have been for the better. The most positive of these changes has been the joining of John Bush, whose voice and musical talents have added a heavier tone to the band. Currently working on their new album, Anthrax will likely return to the music scene in 1997 with powerful music and lyrics.

(The following report is from Metal Edge Online)

Anthrax is gearing up to record in L.A., after several months of writing sessions in New York. "We've got seven songs, we're shopping our deal, we have three good labels interested," reports Scott Ian, projecting an April studio start and a fall release. The album may be self-titled, and will feature more guitar playing by drummer Charlie Benante. "We didn't soften our sound or go alternative, like so many others," says Charlie. "We've stayed real!"
