I wanted to make sure that everyone knows about the event they are playing at in Anehiem @ the arrowhead pond and river on Aug 17th as a part of the three day event Jet Jam. Can you pass It along to all that live near by.

Jet Jam 1997 Splash Magazine has announced they will be the title sponsor for the 1997 Jet Jam. It will be held in Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, CA August 15-17. The promoters will once again dam the Santa Ana River and fill it with water to create the race area. In addition to the Jet Ski races will be hot rod, car, truck and motorcycle shows, the Manufacturer's Midway and Lifestyle Expo, Celebrity Challenge, food fair, live entertainment, and concerts each night.

At the final Dogstar concert of the
tour, tonight at The House of Blues in Los Angeles, a camera was
taping part of the show. When I asked how the tape was going to
be used, I was told-- Good Morning America, in a couple of days.
Just a few minutes, or what? I asked. The first four songs, the
man said. Guess that's something to look forward to.
Dogstar is doing a spot on E!, introducing the channel. Someone caught it during the E! News Weekend commercials. They each say their names, and then they say "And we're Dogstar, you're watching E!" Then Bret (or was it Keanu?) says something like, "What is that?" It happened pretty fast, so she didn't get a chance to observe the entire segment. Hope you catch it!
I received this information from Eric on 7/28/97.... Got this official update from Dogstar's PR person: ME: Can you tell me where the dog boys are playing on August 3rd?? NO ONE knows, and there are quite a few people who want to attend! PR: Nowhere. They are on their way back to LA on Sunday. Thanks for asking. you may also want to mention that for those folks in san fran, the band will be appearing on "Mornings at 2" (FOX-TV) and "Bay TV" (NBC) on Friday, August 1

OK, I did a little hunting and I found that there is a music
festival going on at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre (which is
about 30 miles south of the Anaheim Pond)
It's called the "Further Festival". It's one of those huge all-day, sweat - booze - open air marathons (irvine meadows holds about 18,000) and so far there are about 10 bands on the line up.
Now Dogstar is not listed on the recording, but they may be a late addition. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, the Box office recording number is (714) 855-6111 and the talk to a actual person number is (714) 855-8096.
You may want to verify that this is actually the right venue before you travel or buy tickets, but my best guess is that this is the actual show Dan was talking about. KT.

Hi. I talked to "Dan Dan The Merchandise Man" tonight (Monday) at the Milwaukee Dogstar show and asked him about the August 3rd show, which was originally scheduled to be in Santa Barbara, and later rumored to be switched to San Juan Capistrano.
Scoop! He said the contracts were just signed this afternoon, and that Dogstar will be appearing at a day-long "fest" at the Anaheim Pond on August 3rd, rather than either of the other cities.
That's all I know; if anyone knows more about the "fest," please tell!

Silver Jet's House of Blues opening concert for Cheap Trick at The House of Blues is available online! I've listened to it, and needless to say, it was awesome and reminded me of the 2 shows I was lucky enough to attend. If you haven't seen Silver Jet in concert, go! What a treat for us to have them as the opening act for Dogstar! Thanks, Bret, Rob, Keanu & whomever else was responsible (you know, "TPTB") for getting Luke, Jeff and Grant. Exclusive! Per Dan on 6/24 at Bohager's in Baltimore, Dogstar will be on the Howard Stern Show on Friday, June 27, 1997. Check to see if your local radio stations air the show. Also, check the E! listings for the interview on tv. This is the place for daily summary of each days show.
