The tickets~2 roundtrip plane tickets and 4 tickets to the show, plus hotel accomodations.
The show~Metallica and the San Fransisco Symphony Orchestra together
The story~~~~.....

The day was a dismal grey and it looked like it might rain any moment.
The young woman with two children in the smelly rental car was driving home from returning a dress she had bought for her young princess Zena. It was a size too big.

When SUDDENLY!!!!

The radio starts to play a familiar tune~Unforgiven by Metallica.
The young woman's ears prick up as they have the last few weeks every time she hears anything by Metallica.
The song ends.

A guy on the radio says "Play Metallica!"
The DJ says " I just did"
The guy says  "Well, play more!!!"
The DJ DOES indeed play more Metallica.

This time the lilting tune of 'Whiskey in the Jar' plays inside the car.
The young woman is starting to get anxious, after all, she is in her car.. what if they play 4 in a row NOW?  She has no cell phone...  She has no car phone....
What if, just what if... this was the time?

The Dj comes on the radio and says "  You just heard 2 Metallica songs in a row, if you were to hear 2 more and I'm not saying you will, but IF you were to hear 2 more you would have to wait until the last note of the 4th song is played before you call."

At this point, the young woman KNOWS this is it...
She will make it home in time though, how can she not?
After all this time.. listening and waiting....
She only wants the CHANCE to call.

The next song that comes on the radio is~'Stone Cold Crazy' BUT not the QUEEN one... the METALLICA ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I dont' mind telling you that the young woman was practically screaming at this point.  Stone Cold Crazy is a short song and she had a ways to go to get home still.
IMMEDIATELY after Stone Cold Crazy a voice on the radio says
"here have another"
4
4
YES!!!!  4
Metallica songs in a row!!!!
This was it!!!!

She WAS screaming now!!  Only a few blocks from home, but she still had to go through a few lights and they all seemed to be red today.
She is jumping up and down in her seat and driving at the same time desperately willing the song to wait til she gets home to be over.

She is within a block of her house...
She SEES her house....
WHAT IS THIS?
A TREE FELL ON THE ROAD?
3 HOUSES FROM HER HOUSE??????????!!!!!!!!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But wait!!!!
The cleanup crew are directing traffic around the tree.
The cars are flowing steadily through, but from the other direction!!!
When will it be MY turn to go through the broken tree she thinks to herself.
The song is winding down.

She SERIOUSLY thinks of abandoning her car to run into the house to get the portable phone.
The kids are laughing.
The woman is screaming!!!
The tree is blowin' in the wind....

She is moving through the tree now.
The song is ALMOST over.
She whips the car into the driveway and BARELY misses a blind beggar that is sitting on the sidewalk (ok, this part isn't true, but it sounded good!!  LOL)

She pulls the car into the driveway, slams it in park and opens the back door and releases the catch on her young princess's car seat.
She bolts to the house.
She frantically unlocks the door.
She turns on the radio.
She grabs the phone.
The song is over!!!!

Her kids are straggling into the house asking "Why were you in such a hurry mommy?"
The woman 'shhhhhhh's' the kids.
She dials.... 'busy'
She redials....'busy'
She runs the battery out on the cordless phone.
She continues dialing and getting a busy for 20 minutes.
: (
She did not win.....

Some bum who was sitting on his butt doing nothing but enjoying the radio named Brian something or other from Ohio won....
Where is the JUSTICE in that?
And I say....
AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!!!!!!!

Come to think of it.. Brian something or other from California won another contest I had been hoping to win!!!!!
ARGH!!!!!
