From the plentitude of SA sites on the internet, I'm sure you're already well aware of the origin of their name, Skunk Anansie."Skunk" either comes in as an adjective, making the image of the spider-man (ananse) appear nastier or, it may also be referring to the small furry animal with the distintive white stripe down its black back (
...this is a skunk). Skunks are known for the nastee smelling shit they spray when they're scared or in danger...it's sorta like the effect of a wicked SA concert...the buzz lingers."Anansie" (actually spelled "Ananse", but pronounced "Ananseee") comes from Jamaican mythology. At the beginning of my school year, everyone in my English class had to sign out "A Book Of Myths". Inside was a good story 'bout the Ananse, but I lost my copy (D'OH!). Instead,if you're curious,
