Band: Cemetary Album: Last Confessions Personal Rating - 9 Tracks: 01 - Forever 02 - Caress The Damned 03 - So Sad Your Sorrow 04 - 1213-Transgalactica 05 - Twin Reactor 06 - Fields Of Fire 07 - One Burning Night 08 - Carbon Heat Review:
How fitting that the swan song for this band is probably one of their best albums. Coming in a tight 28 minutes, Last Confessions is easily the most gothic and melodic release this band has put out and a far cry from theirdeath metal beginnings with An Evil Shade Of Gray. Singer Matthias Lodmalm even uses effects on his voice for the first track "Forever" coming off very Type O Negative-sounding. The songs are a lot simpler and not as high in tempo as earlier releases, with less riffs and more emphasis on rythm, with the bass playing a bigger role. Look for a similar record later this year when the band reforms as Sundown and jumps ship to Century Media.
