Enlighten me, O speakers of wisdom as thou vomit forth
the latest platter from Rotting Christ. Thy soundwaves,
reminecent of 1996's wonderfully evil "Triarchy Of The
Lost Lovers", continue to astound thee with the level of
musical progression and growth from this Greek bunch.
Long since departed are the raw black metal days, which
have since been replaced with what can best be equated
as "Shades Of God" era Paradise Lost meets In Flames.
Crisp production (courtesy of Xy from Samael) and the
new, added dimension of texturally layered keyboards
makes "A Dead Poem" a denser, yet more rewarding listen
than "Triarchy..." (which is a damn fine piece of
plastic in it's own right). I personally can't wait to
see what these mad genius' have up their sleeve for the
next offering.
