Band: Slayer Album: Divine Intervention Personal Rating - 2 Tracks: 01 - Killing Fields 02 - Sex, Murder, Art 03 - Fictional Reality 04 - Dittohead 05 - Divine Intervention 06 - Circle Of Beliefs 07 - SS-3 08 - Serenity In Murder 09 - 213 10 - Mind Control Review:
The first sign that Slayer's career was over was when they released this horrible excuse for a CD. Divine Intervention comes at you with as much force as a 2 year old's fart. That's also to say that the album stinks right royally! A few good tracks almost justify the albums release, but there's nothing special. From the get go Tom Araya sounds similiar to a rabbit getting raped by a horse. The singing doesn't carry the same edge as on previous albums. Musically it's still typical Slayer with it's up beat, faster than hell sound, but in a word it's boring. I only wish I would have received some divine intervention when I was in the line up at the store when I bought it. I must say that I found one good use out of this CD though. It makes one hell of a coaster!
Keep Rockin'
