He who binds to himself a Joy

and flutters his feet
"Which way is down?
Which way is right?"
which way would
make him
feel as if in flight?
He tried all the ways
Yet none found him flight
to this day he lay tethered
in the deep ocean light
Fill the bowl with rosy wine
Around our temples roses twine;
And let us cheerfully awhile
Like the wine and roses smile.
Crowned with roses we contemn
Gyges' wealthy diadem.
Today is ours. What do we fear!
