THE BAND
A brief history;
Stubborn are a 'melodic-hardcore'/Nu-metal band with influences from Machine Head to Biohazard and Incubus to Pantera, who formed in around March 1998, and comprises of:
Dan Martin - Ego, Vocals, 21
Mark Lloyd - Horny, Guitar/B. Vocals, 20
Kieran Aston - Vai fanatic, Guitar, 20
Stuart White - The boss of Bass, 21
Dave "king of the skins" Hill - Drums, 19
Dan, Mark and Stuart were in a band together called Limbo before forming Stubborn which split-up in late 1997 due to different musical tastes. Kieran was also in a band called Puck, of which he left to join Stubborn in around early June '98. Dave also left his previous band to join Stubborn, he describes his old band as playing "Indie shit."
Since Stubborn formed, they have gigged mainly in Kingston, Twickenham and London as these places are local to the band and have good venues, such as Heatham House (Twickenham) and The Peel (Kingston) where Stubborn gigged regularly when starting out. Now that a solid fanbase has been built up, Stubborn are branching out and will be gigging soon in and around the London area playing venues such as The Highbury Garage, WestOneFour, The Mean Fiddler, The Red Eye, Camden Falcon and the Camden Underworld.
