The Geri Halliwell Agenda: Volume 1: Issue 3: The group comes together
The Stage's auditions caught Geri's eye. She'd always wanted to sing, and this seemed like the perfect chance. She was out of work, she needed cash.. what did she have to loose?
But when the day of auditions came, Geri was ill and unable to make the auditions. But a few days later when she was well again, she came back to look for the managers-to-be. She was in luck! She tried out, and they couldn't refuse. She was wild, pretty, and sophisticated; just what they were looking for. She didn't have the greatest voice, but that would gradually get better and better as soon as she started singing lessons.
Geri got along with her new band - Melanie Brown, Melanie Chishom, Victoria Adams, and Michelle Stephenson. They all seemed to like what they were doing, but Michelle just didn't seem to fit in. She had second thoughts about the band, and decided to leave.
It seemed there was an empty space, so once more, there were auditions. Emma Bunton was the new Spice Girl, and the one Geri got along with best.
But at first, there was no Spice Girls. There was Touch. Touch was the girls first name for the group, but it seemed a bit bland; lacking imagination. So of course, it was Geri who though up the name of the Spice Girls.
And that was where the girls took off.... more to come later.
