JIM FRANK info

Jim Frank (drummer)

Sorry, but I haven't been able to find much info about him. He first appeared in an album by Gravy Train, Staircase to the day. but I don't know if he was simply a member of the last lineup, or just a guest.

He joined Ronnie Lane's Slim Chance, around October 1974:

But Jim Frank soon left the band. Then, he joined Fox. It was formed by great musicians around 1974 too, assembled with a special vocalist with a powerful look. Their first album was Fox, followed by Tails of illusion. Roger Taylor (drummer for Queen) sings backing vocals in a track by Tails of illusion. Jim Frank sings lead in some songs in this album too.

Their 3rd album was Blue hotel, recorded with external contributions: Andy Roberts (guitar, banjo, mandolin), Bud Beadle (sax), Jay Gurden (guitar), Ann Odell (keyboards), John 'Rabbit' Bundrick (keyboards), Glen LeFleur (drums), Martin David (drums, percussion).

Their main visual impact was Noosha, but she left the group in 1977, starting her solo career.

but soon Kenny and Herbie started their own project, called Yellow Dog, and then I have lost Jim Frank's trail. Help with info, please! The only thing I've seen is a certain Jim Frank as engineer in some albums. Does anybody know if he's the same person?
