Chapter 6

"I'm not looking forward to tomorrow," Aleesha stated as they sat down on the football field after
 cheerleading practice.
   "You're not pulling out are you?" Catherine asked.
   "No way!" Aleesha replied.  "I think this is actually gonna be kinda fun."
   "You chicks are CRAZY!" Claire stated.
   "Hello, who's the one still going out with Nick?" Catherine asked.  "Now that's crazy!"
   "He's actually pretty cool," Claire said.
   "Yeah, whatever," Aleesha said.  "So Catherine, same time, same place?"
   "Uh huh," Catherine nodded.  "we'll meet outside the cafeteria at the start of lunch."
   "Do you want us to wait outside?" Jess asked.
   "Yeah," Aleesha replied.
   "Don't look now, chicky's, but here come the guys," Catherine stated.
   "And see who's coming with them," Aleesha added.
   "Who?" Jess asked as she looked behind her.
   Walking towards them was Jess' boyfriend Rich, Catherine's boyfriend Brad, Claire's current
 boyfriend Nick, Donna's boyfriend Tyson, Kevin, Devin, AJ Brian and Howie.
   "They're bringing the geeks with them," Aleesha stated with a disgusted llok on her face.
   "What are you ladies doing?" Brad asked as he sat down behind Catherine.
   "Talking," Catherine replied, leaning back against his chest.
   "So, are all you guys coming to school tomorrow?" Aleesha asked.
   "Yeah, why?" Devin asked.
   "Just wondering," Aleesha smiled and gave Catherine a knowing look and she smiled back.
   "Sweetie, I gotta go," Rich stated.  "You coming?"
   "I think I'm gonna hang out with these guys a little while longer," Jess replied.  "But I'll see you
 tomorrow, okay?"
   "Yeah, of course," Rich said, giving her a quick kiss.
   "Call me," Jess said as he walked away.
   "So are you guys all gonna be in the cafeteria at lunch tomorrow?" Aleesha asked.
   "Aleesha, what's with all the questions about tomorrow?" Kevin asked.
   "Nothing," Aleesha smiled.  "I'm just curious, that's all."
   "Brad, man, we gotta go," Devin stated.
   "Really?" Catherine asked, turning her head to look at Brad.
   "Yeah, sorry babe," Brad apologised.  "He's right, but did you want a lift home?"
   "No, I might hang with the chicky's a little longer," Catherine replied.  "But thanks for the offer."
   "What about you, Aleesha?" Devin asked.  "Want a lift?"
   "No thanks," Aleesha replied.
   "Okay, that's cool," Devin said.  "Brad, we gotta..."
   "Yeah, I know," Brad interrupted.  "You go, I'll meet you at the car."
   "Okay, but be quick," Devin said as he walked off.
   "Yeah, yeah," Brad replied.  "Catherine, come with me."
   "What?" Catherine asked as he stood her up.
   "You heard Devin," Brad said.  "We gotta make this quick."
   Catherine smiled back at Aleesha and Jess as Brad led her away.
   "What do you think they can get up to in the five minutes they have?!" Aleesha giggled.
   "You don't mean they're gonna..." Kevin started.
   "Kevin, don't go there!" Aleesha laughed.
   "I should go," Tyson stated as he stood up.  "I've got heaps of homework to do."
   "Homework?" Aleesha asked with a funny look on her face.
   "I know you may not be familiar with the concept of work done anywhere other than school," Tyson
 said.
   "Go Tyson!" AJ laughed.
   "AJ, you're so immature," Aleesha sneered.
   "I'll see you tomorrow," Donna said, giving him a little kiss on the cheek.
   "Bye honey," Tyson said as he walked away.
   "I should go too," Claire stated as she stood up.  "Nick, you gonna walk me home?"
   "Of course," Nick replied.
   "we'll catch ya's tomorrow," Claire smiled.
   "Bye," Aleesha said as they walked away.
   "You took your time," Jess smiled as Catherine approached them, fixing her hair.
   Catherine didn't say anything, she just sat down with a subtle smile on her face.
   "Luvie, I hate to break it to ya, but you've got ah..."  Aleesha reached over towards Catherine.
 "Darl, you've got a piece of grass in your hair."
   "What the hell were you and Brad doing?" Jess laughed.
   "None of your business," Catherine smiled.
   "Anyway, I'm off," Donna stated.
   "Would you like me to walk you home?" Howie asked politely.
   "Uhh, if you want," Donna replied.  "Catch ya's."
   "Laterz," Jess said.  "Call me."
   "So, Catherine, c'mon, tell us what you and Brad were doing," Aleesha smiled.
   "No way," Catherine replied, laying down in the grass.
   "What's the time?" Jess asked quickly.
   "Almost 6:30," Kevin replied, checking his watch.
   "Shit, I'm meant to be home now," Jess said as she jumped to her feet.  "I'll see ya's tomorrow."
   "Wait up," Brian said as he quickly got up.  "I'll come with you."
   "Okay, but we've gotta hurry," Jess said as she walked off.  "Call me, guys."
