Taylor walked slowly across the lawn to his house. Ali cried her heart out to him and swore him to screcy. She told him everything after she was done crying. Luckily no one heard her burst into tears. She told him of some of the worst beatings where she had to go to the hospital and how she had to make up some lame excuse. She told him of how she stayed at Tara's or Cordelia's alot when her father was home just so she wasn't home alone with him. He suddenly felt hatred toward Ali's father who to him sounded like a complete jerk. The man should be locked away or put into a mental institution. The first rule his parents ever told him when he was younger was to never hit a girl and yet a grown man hitting his daughter seem purposstoress. He walked into the house to see Isaac out back with Zac throwing around the football. He walked slowly down stairs to the basement. It was already 4 o'clock. Isaac and Zac decided not to go to Laser Quest after all since Taylor didn't come back. He walked to the marroon leather couch in front of the T.V. and just laid across it. All his thoughts returned to Ali. About her father as well. "The man needs a physco home." Taylor said to himself. "Who needs a physco home?" Isaac said sitting on the floor in front of his younger bro. Him and Zac got tired of throwing around the football so Zac went in the Tree house and Ike went to find Tay. His brother didn't even hear him come in and looked completely lost in thought. "Oh hey Ike, oh no one." Obviously Taylor didn't want to talk about it so Ike let it drop but he would ask later. "How come you were so long at Ali's? I mean we were suppose to go to Laser Quest 2 hours ago but you never showed up?" Isaac cocked his eye brow while asking getting rather suspisous that his brother was spending every free moment with Ali. Exspecially being that he liked her alot too. "Well Ali was showing me all her things from Toledo and showing me bunches of pictures of her friends back home." Isaac looked at his brother not knowing if it was the truth but again he just let it drop. Taylor had seen a couple pictures in her room. There was one that looked alot older which he guessed to be her older cousin Tara, who was the keyboard player in the WT. Another picture was of Ali and another girl who looked about the same age. The other girl had Sandy blonde hair and looked like a very energetic type, like Zac in a way. The last picture was of a much older woman. She had long brown hair pulled back into a bun. She was smiling and it looked like the setting was at some family picnic. He thought that was probaly Ali mother since she looked just like the picture. He searched the room for a picture of her father but there was none. He was snapped back into reality when Isaac was waving his hand in front of his face. Taylor hit it out of the way. "I said did you see a picture of the keyboard player? I hear she is more around my age." Isaac smiled with a wide grin. "What was her name again.....Teresa...no...Tamie...." "It is Tara." Taylor cut him off. "Yeah her. Did you see her picture?" Isaac's face looked full of curiosity. Taylor rolled his eyes. "Did you forget your going out with Ali tonight? I mean you act like your interested in her and now your acting like you like her cousin." Isaac's smile fadded into a hurt face. "I like Ali." He said getting up from where he was sitting. He retreated up stairs leaving Taylor without a word spoken from his mouth. * * * * * * * * I paced the floor franticlly trying to find my long green silk shirt to wear over my blue t-shirt. I had on a pair of DOCS and some Tommy jeans. My hair was down and curled very fancy in a way. I looked in my closet one last time and found the shirt off the hanger and lying at the bottom of the closet. I sighed and picked it up. I slipped it on and observed myself in the mirror. "Al, It's 7:00." I heard my uncle yell to me. I walked down the stairs and sat at one of the swivel bar chairs. "Oh Ali! I love your hair." Kirsten said she walked around me as if she could buy me like one of those crystal teddy bears that you just have to look at from all angles. I smiled. She stopped pacing behind me and went back to the stove. "Ali we have a surprise for you tomorrow. We'll just say it is an early Christmas present." I looked at her face confused and then my face began to grin. "I hate it when you do this to me. Now all I'll think about is what it is!" I whinned playfully. Just then the door bell rang. I sprinted for it and grabbed my purse off the coffee table. I opened the door and there was Ike. He had his hair pulled back and he wore brown dockers with a blue sweater and a white t-shirt under neath. He also had on a pair of DOCS. "Hi." I said smiling uncontrolably. I closed the door and looked at him again. God he looked fine tonight. "Good evening." He said in a classy voice. "Are we ready to jet?" He asked sounding normal again. "Yes we are." I said in a classy voice like he had done before. We walked down the driveway and jumped in Ike's jeep. He backed out of the drive way as we made our way to the movies.
